Well of course they have to cast different children because if you read the books , their entire appearance changed it wouldn’t make sense to keep the same kids for that scene, besides the “ beautiful kids” were only there for one part of the episode.

I was 9 when this was on tv, ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. My lovely adoptive Grandmother was an Edwardian child (b.1904) but she died when I was 8. My Late Mother made me an Edwardian dress and pinafore when I was 9, around the same time as this and I walked into town with a Victorian doll's pram and Victorian and Edwardian doll. You couldn't do that now......happier times...nostalgia

Wow. This aired one summer in Poland in the 90s and I had some repressed memories of it lingering in my mind for years. For decades I was convinced that it was either Mary Poppins that I massively misremembered or a fever dream I had as a child. Fitting, seeing that I'm now bed-ridden with covid and I'm googling the weirdest stuff I can come up with in case it's my last week on Earth, lol. Anyway, glad to finally see it again.

I love these Nesbit books, and they have even helped me in my own authored books! Edith Nesbit is one of my favorite authors. Five Children and It is my favorite of her works. The BBC adaptation is also fairly accurate and well done! Thank you very much for uploading the series.
