Five Favorites from Shattered Space - Starfield DLC Is Fun

I absolutely love Shattered Space. On my second play-through. I wrote in here before and I am glad you are experiencing the same I have. I felt that many reviewers and KZbinrs either did not play the game at all or rushed through the main quest. The did an ABSOLUTE DISSERVICE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Not to say they actually LIED. The main quest can be completed in 6-7 hours and the side quests can take anywhere form 20-25 to 40 if you include exploring. I find Shattered space to be a 10 out of 10. The best thing I could have done when I played it the first time was NOT to look at reviews or videos. I am having so much fun. 🎉

I played through on my vanilla save to get the achievements and was pretty thorough- I then reverted to my modded main save and really took my time. Just like the main game when you really slow down and experience it there are many things to enjoy. In 2 of the side quests that I thought I had finished the 1st time during the 2nd run I found a whole second part (House Divided digging deeper on the perpetrators and the Tomb of the Fang to Misthaze Cavern). I also noticed how much back story was built into the environments themselves by the devs - things like meditation cells with Var’uun teachings by the cots.

Another great video. Thank you for putting this together. I enjoyed the DLC and was pleased with the wide variety of quests available. The artwork was fantastic and I was also pleased with the new POI’s created around the planet. I am just about to go through Unity so I can do my 3rd run through Shattered Space as I found I missed a couple of side quests that you cannot complete once you completed the main quest line. All Must Serve!!!

My favorite part is definitely the side quests, especially “The Duel”, it’s simply one of the best quests in all Bethesda games.

I like how challenging the enemies are on Extreme difficulty. It forced me to rely more on my +10 powers like Moonform and Create Vacuum, all must serve!

The vortex enemies and the redeemed seem immune to offensive starborn powers so i use the parallel self as extra fire power

@helderoliveira2994 Create Vacuum does good damage over time on all enemies, including the Redeemed. I like how it can be used to damage or kill enemies hiding in cover or on the other side of a wall.

The Mistveil Cave Quest and the sheer number of side quests that I managed not to pick up. Some of the dungeons too. I definetly want to start it again.

My experience: Did the DLC with my modded character and completed the main plus a few side quests. Played again without mods to complete achievements. The achievements helped round out the experience and the play through was more enjoyable. Wish modded players got achievements but marked differently as such. Food for thought. Spent way too many hours learning “place doors yourself” yesterday.

I definitely enjoyed the DLC for many of the same reasons. The static locations around Dazra were a nice touch and fun to explore. I do wish they had given more attention to space content - new encounters, space POIs, and/or new spaceships/modules. Felt kind of odd, not getting those things. Also, the lack of unique gear was a little disappointing, but it's par for the course. The only truly unique gear we got in the base game was the Mantis armor, and even that has random legendary effects you can find on most any generic suit. I still appreciate what we got, though.

I always love fighting vortex Phantoms. It feels very impactful to kill them and watch them warp into reality once they die.

I am still waiting for the official Survival Mode! Until then, I just mess around with outpost building and exploring the procedurally generated content. 😊

Do you think there will be a survival mode? I think the gameplay changes they implemented in May might be it?

If the May update was the end of Bethesda's idea for a survival mode in Starfield, that would be extremely sad and disappointing. For me, a fuel requirement at the very least would help out a lot, and I know mods already do this. I would really like for Starfield to have an official difficulty to where the player can get stranded on a planet and have to steal a ship or hitch a ride to a city. Also, fuel stations out in space to mimic truck stops would be incredible. I want traveling in Starfield to feel like being on the road, but I know this is a tall order 😢

They need to hire dnd/ table top creator's to make the quest outlines again.... Its really whats holding them back is no matter how good the game is, is the twists and turns and delicious mischief that made the company so great so long ago. For instance, planting a mine in Preston garvys fridge is fun. Unleashing all those creatures on that ship in starfield is fun.. In a smaller team, with a few dnd writers it could be grate once more for elderscrolls, and starfield 2 needs to have this trait to be a good Bethesda game Like sabotaging some ones thruster pack to kill them for a client, or stealing a ship from the uc and being chased across several star systems leading them into a fleet trap....its got to feel unique.

Pretty much nailed it, I don't give much thought to people who hate on the game be they people who didn't play it but jump on the bandwagon or the ones who played it for less time than my washing machine takes to do a cycle & of course the Soystation fanboys who can't even play it, side missions are a fave of mine & they don't disappoint in this DLC, so love it or loath it.....All must serve.
