I wonder about that Play Along concept and if CBS did that the same week or weeks that Press Your Luck did their home viewer sweeps. For those that don't know, a spin was chosen at random, and whoever took the spin, they would read the name of the postcard in front of them, and whatever the contestant landed on, the home viewer got the prize or case (unless it was a Whammy, then the viewer got I think 500 bucks in consolation). If it was done at the same time frame - I can't find the time frame they did that Play Along gimmick - they could've ran in the same week as when we found out who a little known person by the name of Michael Larson was.

I love these

The Play Along feature I think could be applied to any of the games & I remember they even did it for spinning the wheel. Really, all it was was an extension of The Phone Home Game & when they retired that game, the whole Play Along was scrapped.

The current set always reminds me of a birdhouse! I preferred the previous board.

The next all pricing game fun facts would be very interesting. I hope to hear new facts for that disaster of a game.

Take Two is the gentle version of The Race Game where four prizes are on display but the contestant is more at ease as (s)he doesn't have to run all over the place for example.

I remember once during the Barker era when the contestant chose two prizes, and their total was $2 from the target total. Too bad the contestant didn't realize that no two prizes were $2 apart; else that would have been an easy win by choosing the other two prizes to add up to the target total.

Are we sure that the target price is chosen at random? I'm guessing the prizes chosen to form the "answer" is often quite intentional.

According to my research, yes. I am likely going to start citing all my sources to prevent these discrepancies from happening.

Fun Fact #6: The was an extremely odd playing of Take Two from October 4, 2006. There were two prizes in which the price of each of them were more expensive than the target total BY THEMSELVES. The contestant managed to pick both of them on her first try which led to an automatic win for her second pick!

They should retire Take Two because there are no winners in record of 12 playings during the 51st year of TPiR. In fact this tough game is winless for the entire 51st year of TPiR. They should retire Danger Price as well. Other pricing games to win 4 big prizes that do well are: Race Game, Shopping Spree, and Swap Meet. Bring back the Poker Game, but it will never happen because the prices of the 4 prizes are never more then $999. Why not bring back Trader’s Joe, Step Up, Give Or Keep, Barker’s Marker (later Make Your Mark), Credit Card Game, and Buy Or Sell, at least they have more winners then losers, and they are better then Danger Price and Take Two.

I get disappointed when they play this game because it's on the same back drop as Race Game. Then I want to see Race Game. Lol
