Would love an explanation of how 'sequencer mode' is setup in Ableton. Clearly it's being used with some sort of sequencing device or plugin but this is not shown in the video. Pressing the two side buttons is not going to magically turn a bunch of audio clips into a sequencer 😂. Anybody have any clues on how to set this up? I've had 2 midi fighter twisters for several years and still have never managed to use them as sequencers although I originally thought this was one of the coolest features advertised.

how long before we can get a 50/50 twister and original midi fighter 3D? or a combo of the two? imagine 8 buttons and the twister knobs! plus the 3d functionality! that would be the ultimate!

Both the twister and the fighter are such cool midi controllers. Just looked them up and they are fairly expensive. I was a little shocked. I think I will have to try and look on the used market and see if I can save myself some money on getting them that way. First saw these from KJ Sawka and Mr.Bill , as well as KJ Sawka and iLL Gates MIDI fighter match. They inspired me to start learning music production with Ableton live, I only have the lite version that came free with my Alesis strike multipad. I will be getting Live 11 intro version very soon for Christmas. I know I should get the suite version so I can use max for live stuff, however money is very very tight right now. 2020 has been a terrible year financially, can barley afford to pay rent and keep my heat, electricity ,water, bills paid. These combined with a Push 2 would be a killer control combo.

Hey Lenny, DJ Tech Tools, I have a Midi Fighter Twister (MFT) & know Ableton very well, be super appreciated if you could you please help me with the following problem. I have MFT working with Ableton, and can easily Map it to a Rack i have selected. (ie blue hand) But if i go to another rack (blue hand) it no longer controls it. I really love the MFT controls to change to each rack that i select. Is this possible ?

What's the resolution of the super knob part of the knob ? It looks super steppy from here.

my min is 0 max is 127, but with my twister it inly turns on/off device if i press and hold encoder down. I've messed with min/max no changes, up to date twister, any ideas?

you should check out the "switch action type" in mf twister settings, you probably have it on a toggle mode if it's "shift encode hold" then and you press the button, it's 64 notes higher and the sustained value (velocity) is for a different note

hey, I know its been 4 years, but I've been stuck for 1 month on that problem and just found the solution. If your button keeps enabling/disabling instantly, use Midi Fighter Utility (download on official website) and set your knobs' "Switch Action Type" to "CC Toggle" instead of "CC Hold". It fixes for me.

I dunno dude, I see you reaching for that mouse more than anything, if this thing was so great you wouldn't need to be doing that, also, why do I need to drop $200 on this thing? I have MIDI controllers up the wazzo ANY piece of gear released these days has MIDI control capabillities, I don't see what this things does that dozens of other things I already own can't, plus the whole idea of "Hey buy this thing so you can buy other software and use them together" is just silly to me. This product is over rated hype. Stay away from software dependant hardware people, they are just trying to sell us things we already have. MIDI fighter = Junk
