Finally found a video where the comments actually ship Lila and Five. Most fans wonder what was the point of this romance and how could they just betray Diego. I see it as two people simply needing each other and caring for each other. People fall in and out of love. Everyone involved in putting the five and Lila romance scenes together did a really good job. I believed the actors and their portrayal. I loved the bittersweet first kiss. The scene was wholesome and beautiful. Their story was more just a human connection rather than something born of secret and lust. As for what was the point? I think the last two season of TUA has been more about enjoying the characters and how they interact with each other rather than creating some great story. I think the writers just wanted Five to find love.

I was so surprised to see them end up as love interests but - despite myself - I like them together. She turned out to be good for Five, and it shows in his face. He looks happy, healthy - fulfilled. Only because of seeing Five like this is why I support them both more than Diego and Lila. I am so in love with Five's character this season (controversial opinion) - he is so beautifully calm and composed. HE made the first move on her. HE agreed to all her suggestions. HE comforted her. They both enjoyed each other's company in the most genuine way and forgot about their surrounding timeline. He was truly the best person to have when you're stuck with no one else in a world and travel through wrong timelines. Goodness, it hurts to see this unfold like this.

totally. five has been amazing this season. people say that the creators ruined five, but I have a different opinion. I've read that people write that Five was very soft and fell in love too easily, but I don't think they took into account that he spent seven years alone with her! and besides, I think that five deserves a break and retirement three times after saving the world. he is after all 65 years old and probably after spending 45 years in an apocalyptic future and saving the world three times, I think that somewhere deep in his soul he dreams of living in the countryside with his chosen one (which is Lila🤭, they fit together so well).

I share your same opinion - it was a soft romance, which was surprising for an ASSASSIN, but who cares, I enjoyed it so much, and there is no doubt that he deserves all the relaxation in the world. Is she his sister-in-law? Of course. Was he happy with her? YES. Did she also provide full consent into the relationship? Yes. Both of them fell in love. Can't just blame Five. Also, any human being in the same situation as them would also have done the same (either hated or loved their companion). I also would say that they became a couple after much patience; only in the 5th or 6th year (I don't remember). That's a long time to fight your intimacy with someone, especially when you're trying to reach home soon. I miss them both already!

this is such an amazing edit... truly. i know most people didn't love them and claimed it's out of character. but I don't think so. i felt they were the most REAL and genuine in their scenes. i felt through the screen the aching pain when Lila said it's over and especially seeing Five's face and his expression. thanks to the writing and the actors, I believed that Five truly fell for her, and she started caring about him. they were so softly beautiful together, which was the opposite of what they're like in every other season, they're both highly trained assassins with years of work behind them. yet when they're together they can let go of that and just BE, just love, and be there for each other. i wish they had more time...

Lila still wearing the bracelet Five made for her even after she come back to her family is saying something. In my opinion, what Lila feel for Diego is more of something lustful than an actual love, every time we see her with Diego they were either bickering or making out. While with Five, we saw a real dynamic. At first Lila was so determined to kill Five, she hate him so much for killing her parents, but since season 3, we saw how much they actually can really connect with each other. Going on a mission together and discussing things, trying to solve problem together. In some ways they know they can trust each other and rely on each other I think Five is more of Lila's soulmate than Diego. As much as I hate this pairing because it ruining Five's character, I still can understand how things come to be like this

If I were on Five's side, I'd burn this book. I wouldn't let some shifty book ruin my love. But Five isn't egocentric. He loves Lila so much. He probably understands her. He saw how much Lila missed her children.

He would have given up everything for her, but she had kids, which made the situation difficult (I think if it was just Diego, she wouldn't have come back... but under different circumstances they might not have had such a broken relationship, who knows). But the fact that he didn't tell her sooner hurt her trust in him. Keeping it a secret "forever" would be easy, but it wouldn't be fair. Plus, he would be living in a relationship where he would always know he hadn't given her the opportunity to make a choice. He did the right thing, but it didn't bring him the right things, which unfortunately is sometimes very cruel.

I think that if they had time to solve everything with a cool head, after calming down all emotions. Lila would choose Five because even if she didn't say it out loud, it was obvious that she loved him and that they were truly happy together. After all, at the very end, she held his hand with tears in her eyes, her gaze full of love for him. (When she grabbed Diego's hand, it just felt like an apologetic last-minute reconciliation gesture.)

Let's not forget Five is the oldest one in the family, and he's been a lonely, homeless timeline refugee in every season. He's earned this bit of love. She's actually the most feminine and soft we've seen her and Five made it happen. He turned her into a woman. It's love between them, and lust between her and Diego. I wish we've had more of these two. Their moment is short but so tender and pure. The acting is heartbreakingly good. I miss them already. 💔

Actually, I'm pretty fine with the Five/Lila relationship. It makes sense. Afterall they just had spent the last seven years searching through desperation and stuff. Remember, last time when Five was trapped into a situation like this, he fell in love with a mannequin. I guess what makes a lot of people feel that this plot is weird is just because the show didn't give much time for it to develop. They just let seven years past with like only a few minutes of screen time. Also, just to point out, the whole plot in Season Four just seem so... bleh. If you ask me what happened in Season Four, I think the only thing I would remember is Five and Lila, maybe a little bit about another apocolypse this time caused by Ben. That's all. I wouldn't remember Jennifer, wouldn't remember this merigold and d-something and stuff if you don't remind me. So what I'm saying is, stop putting hate in Five and Lila (though tbh, he could be said to be a homewrecker, but just let the man to be selfish a little bit. he's sixty two and the only happy moment he had ever had was probably when he was still a kid and when he was falling in love with Delores). The only thing that screws this season up is the 'what is happening' plot and even poorer pace of how the plot is shown in the season.

It's clear that Lila loves Five. Somehow he always admired it. She got to the point of loving Diego for the bond that unites them, they started a family, but in those seven years she fell in love with Five. And she is in love with him at the end of the story. I still don't know how I feel exactly, I feel a little sorry for Five because he isn't involved in the action much this season, but what about them? I'm fine with the story. I admire the director and writers for doing their job despite the possibility of fans not agreeing. I've seen television series ruined in an attempt to please fans. After all, after being enemies for so long, it was so magical how in love they later became. It was really beautiful and I loved every moment they shared together. It’s so weird because it’s like on TikTok everybody’s against the relationship on KZbin. People seem to be positive about it and on Instagram everybody’s unhinged per usual. The thing is is that because Lila’s character doesn’t exist in the comic books like at all I’ve been thinking just as a theory, but what if Lila is like a metaphor Like you have to understand that seasons one, two, three they are all a span of one month for five but in season four it’s been six years .
