Worked there in the composing room and layout making food circulars in the mid-seventies. New employees would be told to go to Dave Bulmash's office to get their Christmas goose and when they did Dave would tell them to turn around. I once saw him rest his hand on Barbara's expansive butt while feigning looking at her work. Before cold type, the heat would be 120 in the press area. The other owner Meyer had a blue plaid sport coat he would wear that he kept in his office and wore daily. It had staples holding up its back hem. Murray's Sandwich shop was in the same building on the Preston St side. He was a pleasant exasperated man. Norman the proofreader always brought matzo and strawberry jam during Passover.
