Why are ebikes allowed there and no where else in Boulder? Don't get me wrong; I'm pro-ebike. Just irritated that Boulder doesn't allow them

@@rocco1109 not positive, but maybe because these started out as non-sanctioned motorcycle trails and are technically all OHV trail system. I’d say about 75% of the riders we saw were on ebikes…massively steep climbs, so….

E-bikes aren’t permitted at LHOHV. It’s managed by the USFS and it’s currently closed to all motorized vehicles (since the flood) which in their eyes includes e-bikes. It’s just not enforced so it’s the Wild West of Boulder county.

@ hmmm…seems to be a bit of controversy then. Saw no less than 15-20 other ebike riders out there.

@@jarobiMTB no controversy, just no management. I ride there often and e bikes are all over. I have no issue with them, but in that case it should be opened back to motos like it was pre-flood.

@@jarobiMTB I would pretty much say E bikes are allowed. If no one gets arrested for robbing banks, is not really illegal. There doing some new management stuff which could be positive or negative for the MTB community but I've heard there is a good chance we could see E bikes officially aloud, as well as a much improved parking area, but some of the trails that cause erosion or are on private property will have to go.
