Hey everyone! I got to playing Elden Ring again so this video took longer than expected 😅 But hey, now there are over 900 mods for Xbox on Starfield. Let me know if you are using any of these and if you know which mod I was talking about with the Robocop mention.

I am waiting for the day a "reborn" mod gets made. Say you died in NG+ you would keep your knowledge but be moved to another universe aka be starting over again.
@Matt_the_TechRanger4 ай бұрын
That’s a cool idea. I know there’s a ‘Fast Start’ mod and a ‘Choose Your Universe’ mod so that’s gotta be possible.

Ive been using the takedown mod and it does make stealth a bit more enjoyable. I find myself taking more time in the ship builder myself. On my next NG+ Im going to give outpost building a try, now that there are a few more options for it. Though they are very different, in FO4 I spend so much time creating settlements, so I do like the build aspects of these games.
@Matt_the_TechRanger4 ай бұрын
@@STEELwanderer the outpost building is fun. Spent a few hours one day and I think I’m starting to get in the groove. I could totally see how you could spend a day playing by going around and getting resources. But you can also buy all that stuff. I tend to have a ton of credits now that I’ve settled on a ship for now so that’s helpful 😂

The thing with ship building for me is a love / hate relationship. I engage with it for hours, but hate having to think about door layouts. When I want to create a specific corridor or path I use a structural part that resembles a 1x1 hab to "block" the other paths around the habs Im connecting. While doing so sometimes Ill get a warning that a part is unconnected and then its a hunt for it in the blueprint. I know there's a "select all connected parts" button on pc but dont know the equivalent on console. Im also aware of a mod that lets you select door placement of habs, but I couldnt figure out how it does it. If it just adds new habs to the game then I think it could get more confusing than the vanilla system.
@Matt_the_TechRanger4 ай бұрын
@@marconihimself you can ‘select all’ on Xbox when you have your cursor over the ship. I’m holding off on building mods for awhile until I’m better at ship building 😂 To try and connect doors where you want them. Hover over the part you want the new hab to connect to, hold LT + RT and press ‘A’. That’ll bring up the build menu so you can connect a hab.

they have a great mod called 'place doors yourself' that lets you do exactly that. one of he best mods for ship building

Thanks for the video, Matt. Looking forward to more Star Wars-centric XBox mods. There are a bunch already, but they've only just begun.

I wonder if VFI is working on consoles post update that disabled (or just not allows new uploads) of mods that edit ini files. Bethesda's wording on the tweet wasnt very specific on what would be the effect in our current load orders. I guess flashlight radius is something you can do with inis, but can also be achieved with other methods. I do like VFI because it makes the "darker nights" mod less obstrusive and also seem to "fix" the issue with the dynamic shadow of the player's arm carring a weapon being projected on the ground like the bat signal. I even disable dynamic shadows in fallout 4 because of that annoyance.

They said that new mods couldn’t be uploaded with .ini, not that they were disabling mods that already do. Seems to work for me. It’s a noticeable difference between the two. “We are investigating ways to address active Starfield Creations from creators that alter ini files.”

I just really want to fully rotate ship parts on both axis’s instead of doing flips. Flips are way too limiting. Also, I’ve tried both flashlight mods for the Xbox version of the game, but they seem to break after a while. And one of the mods (I’m not sure which one), seems to break the game audio whenever I load up the game with Creations enabled.
@Matt_the_TechRanger4 ай бұрын
@@MaxCarnage1984 can’t say I’ve noticed the flashlight not working after several hours. You can try moving it in your list. As far as rotating parts, the problem with 360 rotation is that parts won’t connect so the system that checks your ship would also need to be changed. You may be interested in mods from rux616 though. creations.bethesda.net/en/starfield/all?author_displayname=rux616 Bethesda might be thinking anything with an .ini change can make you lose audio per their hot fix notes. Not sure if these classify as that but maybe the flashlight. Try disabling all mods, reload game, and then reenable mods: kzbin.infoznJ8Cpw9YtA?feature=share

Over 900 mods when I started recording but the number keeps going up. Still a mixture of ported/new mods. Maybe the mods you are looking for aren't far off!

@@mikethegamr I might get around to it. Really liked how the last one turned out and wanted to get a full playthrough with it. Probably can’t help myself from messing with other mods along the way.
