I love how the animatronics are a lot more expressive and silly, like how Bonnie is getting ready to steal a slice of pizza only to be caught off guard by the camera or how Chica is more passove and just casually wanders into your office but ONLY attacks the player out of frustration rather than malice because she accidentally bumped into your door.

The same reason why vintage cartoons were labeled as creepy to begin with. Some of the faces were odd in the eyes of modern society and the films would allow a lot that would either wise not be shown in "kids" media. Loose quotes. Like Swing You Sinners, Minnie the Moocher and Balloon Land.
