The fact that William invented the animatronics using illusion disks to make crying child from fnaf 4 afraid of the animatronics. Here's something to note. Originally, the nightmare animatronics seemed to be just that, nightmares. But looking back, if you notice that in the secret ending of sister location, there are cameras linking to the FNAF 4 house. My theory, FNAF 4 wasn't a dream, it's happening in reality. The animatronics are either wearing illusion discs, or they were built to look that way, but either way, the events of FNAF 4 may not be what we originally thought they were.

As you may know based on lore, Afton would experiment on children. The Funtime animatronics we're designed to capture children and possibly kill them. As you may also know, illusion discs are a thing as well. As stated, I believe the nightmare animatronics may have been either constructed to look the way they do, OR they were regular animatronics fitted with illusion discs in order to give off their horrifying appearance. This is all speculation, I could be wrong about all of this, but it's still interesting to think about.
