The Inspiration behind this video:
Jim Henson's Creature Shop's involvement in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie was first revealed by Jason Blum in mid-2022, with the producer sharing a BTS image of a staffer putting together early designs for the animatronic monsters. This announcement was met with much enthusiasm from fans of the horror games, confirming that the movie would be taking a practical and grounded approach to adapting Freddy and the other possessed animatronics rather than risk shoddy CGI creations.
Anticipation has remained high for the Five Nights at Freddy's movie throughout its development and namely with the recent trailer drops showing a very faithful approach to adapting the games, including Easter eggs from other games while still sticking to the story of the original. With Blum having remained dedicated to making the movie in spite of pushback from Hollywood and his own staff, chances seem high that it will continue the recent win streak enjoyed by video game adaptations after years of poorly received efforts.

From the past two trailers I get the impression that they’re going to utilize more “uncanny valley” feelings for the horror aspect of this film. There was a lot of debate about the red eyes in the first few trailers, that made them not scary at all. But with the dead pan stares I’m seeing in these trailers, I’m hoping that means we’ll get to experience what made the original game scary in the first place-but in theaters :)

You know I liked the dark story and atmosphere of the first couple games. After a while it seems a lot of young people became fans causing Scott to tone down every horror aspect and turn it into more of a creepy pasta. Now this movie looks like a "horror" movie you would watch on the Disney Channel. Glad the kids still like it though.

Been here since FNaF 1, haven't stopped following the series since then. I remember the 100s of 1000s of rumors of a Five Nights at Freddy's movie but it never happened. So many posts and videos about script rewrites and cancelations made me believe it would never come to be. Im sorry but I just cant make myself see the fun in this movie. This is just me tho, I know a lot of people are really hyped for this movie but Im just not. From the looks of it, Its gonna be “childish” horror. I dont think its gonna be scary except for children. To make myself more clear, I think its gonna be like security breach (the game). The game was definitely not scary but more a thriller with some jumpscares. I understand its a choice they made and can accept it. But I was more hoping for a really creepy and scary movie where you feel the same amount of fear as playing the good games in the fnaf franchise. We need both bites in first and then second film because the Bite of 87 wasn’t in the first game… it occurs in fnaf 2 location.. so first game should definitely give us at least these 4 scenes: Bite of 1983, the scene of AFTON shoving kids into the mascots, the death of a previous Night guard, and lastly… The Springlock failure!

Does the movie look… not the best? Yeah, but honestly? I think it works in the movie’s favor. FNaF’s been a frequent user of self deprecating humor for years now, so even if it’s not intentional, it adds to the atmosphere FNaF’s going for.

I was hoping it was you know, lore based, the actual horror of the game where all the pieces that were in each game and books where connected. But it felt like they just chose FNAF 1 and stick with that storyline not knowing that many events happended before FNAF 1 (in the lore of the game). Niethertheless, idk maybe there will be more movie of fnaf that has its pieces of the lore, like how scott does it in games. Still goodwork for this movie, and it's such an amazing feeling that many people has taken interest in fnaf.

There more I see from this, the less excited I am about it. There are so many VHS/lost footage videos that truly makes the animatronics horrifying This just feels like a poor attempt to make a movie adaption of a videogame.
