I like how Ennard says it will only hurt for a moment. For some reason, it tries to ease your fear. Why does it care? Is it the souls of children trying to be kind? I don't know why but it feels oddly comforting that it cares about us.

Very late to the party but - Ennard is primarily in control by Circus baby, who contains the soul of Elizabeth, the brother of the main character. Even though Ennard is killing you, Elizabeth's soul still cares for her brother, and wants to try and ease his fear.

someone theorized that he died already and that michael afton you're playing as is a robot replica of the adult michael its also why if you finish the golden freddy mode(4stars)you will hear michael talking to(about)his father and at phrase "im going to come and find you" his voice changes like a robot or like a slow talking with mettalic voice thats why he survived at scooper bc hes a robot unlike the other victims they died and have a black oil subtance coming out of the eyes of other victims because ennard is at leaking oil and we see from the cut seen that day after day he turns(worsend) to purple like skin
