Five nights at Sonic’s is basically a mashup between Sonic, Mario, and Fnaf. That’s why there are Mario characters in the game. Kinda like Super Mario Bros Z but replace DBZ with Fnaf.

Oh ye the reason why mario characters are in fnas was due to at the time when fnas 1 was made, TheCyVap didnt know how to draw Sonic characters and he wanted his take on fnas to be different than other fnas concepts done by others
