In my "nerd world", The Isley Brothers of the 70s kick butt and took names. Ron's voice was fantastic. Ernie and Mavin, with the hot licks, Chris with the smooth keyboards, and O'Kelly and Rudolph up there singing, WOW, it was the best hard rock band that every was AND their music was for everyone, God Bless the entire Isley Brothers Band! This white, 50% Italian Fan/Nerd really loves and jams to your music!

One of the greatest singers of all time should be up there with Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross if not higher since his output was greater and he has been going for decades releasing classics for over 50 years. IDK why the man does not get the props he deserves.

I'm surprised he somewhat mentioned Chris Jasper (brother in law)...to be fair, the Isley Brothers' greatest time was 1973-83...4 of songs he mentioned he talked about didn't even come from that time and who's that lady was a remake of a 1964 Isley Brothers song. I think the Chris Jasper effect has a lot to do with why he didn't talk about any sing between 1973-83.

Didn't even mention Chris Jasper's name. Just "brother in law". That's kinda sad, because he and Ernie wrote the music. Such great songs, and great music they made together. Don't let hate and regret fester inside of you. Let it go.

@@nanetteboatwright4793 The only song I know that Chris wrote by himself was "Love put me on the corner." The only song I know that Ernie wrote by himself was "Harvest for the world." Other than that, I heard Chris say that he and Ernie wrote the songs. If you've got some inside information....
