This is a question, not a prediction. Will Avery hit the next portal window? Why you ask? Two of his present and future targets are &/or maybe leaving K-State. One is Avery's roommate and the other is a good friend, do they know something?!? Then there's Avery's lack of making the progress everyone thought he'd make during the year. Here's just one example, he seems to struggle finding the open receiver(s). This, in my opinion, is a coaching issue, not Avery's. There's the question and a few reasons to wonder and maybe worry!?!

Didn't Oregon just get a 2026 commitment from five star TE? Also, let me ask how many college football programs are great because of their TE? R. Gronkowski - Played at Arizona until 2009. Arizona was 8-4 in 2009. Travis Kelce played at Cincinnati until 2012. UC was 10-3 in Cincinnati (The Big East), Tony Gonzalez played at UC Berkely. Here's my point - If you look at the top 10 teams (maybe even top 15 or 20) of the last 25 years (I haven't done this), I don't think you'll see that many teams that achieved that ranking because of their TE. Have you noticed how well our current batch of TEs are playing? In other words, we're fine if he comes here, we're just as fine if he doesn't.

As someone who has dealt with many guys recruitment. I know the most important thing in recruiting is fit. Does the school/program culture fit with the guy’s personality. Schools have personalities, just like people. If the fit is tight the guy will be happy and enjoy his experience. If it’s not a good fit, he won’t, and in today’s world he’ll transfer. The difficult part is that you never know if it’s the correct fit until the guy enrolls and starts to practice. If Oregon is a better fit for Linkon, and he goes there, he’ll be fine. If not, he may transfer to K-State this time next year.
