I can understand this message clearly because Jesus taught so much about giving thanks 🙏 to God. Every year on Thanksgiving, which falls on November let us remember the things that God has given to us and be thankful this coming Thanksgiving and all others to come. To all who are celebrating, have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

If I may just give my own opinion without trying to impart offense whatsoever - this sounds more like a coping mechanism instead of a biblically based comprehension of how God and Evil works. The reason why I say this is because many people live under a false belief that "Everything happens for a reason". And this belief negates the fact that God has allowed the Earth to be a place where Human Free Will and Satan can reign... Not him, which is why we are supposed to be establishing his kingdom and preparing the way for his return. All "Good" things DO come from the Lord- because as Christians our subjective concept of what "Good" even is, is determined by God's standard of morality. But YOUR Good is not the same as an Atheists Good. And the same can be said when it comes to "Bad". But yet scripture teaches the father wishes nothing ill on his children. Injustice and suffering does NOT come from the father.- It comes from the fallen world around us. I'm sure if one of your loved ones was beaten, killed, or even worse... You would not be thanking God. Why?- Because even in that moment it would dawn upon you the power of Human Free Will. So no- everything doesn't happen for a reason. But whatever blessings you ever receive ARE from God. But putting both the good and evil together and attributing it to God is not a theology taught in Scripture. It is a mere coping mechanism to give the bad a value. A Holy attribute where none exists. That's not to say God isn't WITH you in those moments of Evil, but he is not the cause of it. And therefore, should not be attributed as the creator of your suffering. That's just my personal thoughts on the subject, and I mean no offense again. I'm learning as we all are, and just wanted to sharpen iron. But I myself have come to oppose the ideology of "Everything happens for a reason".

I feel like one vital component needs to be mentioned here in that- Jesus also said all these miracles and Acts could also be accomplished by the Apostles through the Holy Spirit and Faith. He taught gratitude for our blessings- but perhaps even more importantly that through the Holy spirit we could likewise heal the sick and even move mountains. Which us WHY we should have gratitude as if the mountains have already been moved. If ONLY our faith was ENOUGH. If only we believed in the Holy Spirit enough. Which is why he chastises the Apostles when they failed to perform a miracle for the people and came to Jesus in order for him to perform it for them. In anger he says how long must he suffer from an unfaithful generation, then he goes to perform the miracle for them. The act of appreciation was an extension of his Faith and confidence in the Holy Spirits work.

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: The sole purpose of the words of Ephesians 5:16 is so people can then repent believe the gospel of Christ and be redeemed from the curse of the law that the Son of God kept perfectly.

Thanksgiving wasn't during Jesus time. He was a Jew, and celebrated the appointed times
@redfaux74 Жыл бұрын
No, Jesus was God. He made heaven and Earth and everything in them. 1 Corin 8:6 Jesus was the 2nd Adam. He made ALL mankind and came to reverse the curse of sin and death. He came to Earth to be The Lamb of God given to take away the sins of the world. Jesus said " Verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." John 8:58 All mankind had the curse thru Adam. Jews came from Adam. Just like every other color, tongue, tribe. Adam came from God. Salvation was never meant to be of the Jews alone. They were supposed to be a light on a hill. They refused to share God's Word to the world. He came and gave them one more chance. They killed Him. They became a light on a hill anyway when He burnt Jerusalem to the ground and the gospel went into the world. Matt 23, 24, Mk 13, Lk 21 He is eternal. He speaks all languages. There are no more Jews. We are all one in Christ. Gala 3:28, Collos 3:11 Or we are nothing. That is definitely something to be grateful for. It was the greatest gift ever.

thanksgiving is pagan, Jesus doesn't want us to celebrate any traditions of pagans & witchcraft
@JuanMendoza-qd5lm Жыл бұрын
Many Pagan holidays in modern Western tradition are celebrated, while the Biblical Holy Feast Days of the Bible are forgotten... But I completely fail to see how Thanksgiving is Pagan in origin. As this historically was neither a Feast to pay homage to any Pagan God, nor was it a Holiday created by Pagans at all that turned Christian over time. It was created by early Americans to commemorate an event and has no religious connotations whatsoever. This is literally like claiming The 4th of July is Pagan. So I would love to hear your reasoning behind this claim.
@messagesofChrist Жыл бұрын
Yea, not sure how this is a pagan holiday. In fact, God commanded the Israelites to celebrate the first fruits of their harvest, which is basically a day of thanksgiving.
@redfaux74 Жыл бұрын
Most "Christians" don't read the books of Moses or they would know there are many feasts. As followers of Christ we don't follow Jewish traditions. If we celebrate Thanksgiving unto God, then unto God it is celebrated. If you have devil objects in your house, give your money to those that support devilish activities (Target, Starbucks), allow your children to watch the "Smart Phone" without supervision or send them to public school to be taught by the Devil.... .....you have more to be worried about than people who pray to Christ in thankful hearts on a Christian day of thanks.
@JuanMendoza-qd5lm Жыл бұрын
@@redfaux74 In the Torah it clearly states God called them "His Feasts"... Not Jewish feasts- HIS. And he declared they would be a sign between him and his people for all generations. And the New Testament declares we who are in Christ have become grafted into the tree as spiritual Jews and inheritance of Abraham. Therefore explain to me how exactly Gods declaration and Holy Days are not for those of us in Christ?
