Hey guys. Though I wouldn't put this in the video this time but have a look at my patreon. I would really appreciate it. All of the Patreons will get a gift from me, there is a Discord channel and there will be special prizes and a time well spend together with me. Cheers Patreon - patreon.com/FixusMiniatures

That Ultramarine you painted looks great! What colors did you use for shade, mid tone, and highlight?
@FixusMiniatures9 ай бұрын
Sorry for the probable misspelling. Mcragge Blue from Citadel as the base. I added a little bit of Abaddon Black for a darker tone. Citadel Black is a bad black as a base tone because it has few pigments but it means that it is great for darkening other paints. If you add any other black it will get really dark really fast. Not with this one. Don’t really remember what I used for the highlights but try any offwhite like Ivory skull colors.

What did you use to sand them? They look much better then what I use!
@FixusMiniatures8 ай бұрын
I use a simple hobby knife. Don’t even know if it is meant for this hobby. A cheap one. And I very often change the blades. Additionally and I think you were asking about this I use Green Stuff World Sanding Foams. I hope this is the right name. They are not cheap though and now I am trying cheaper simple sanding paper.

U want the paint to cover ur skin but still able to see ur pourss. If the paint doesn't cover a spot on ur hand its too thin if it covers it but u cant see ur pours than its too thick. Works for me anyway

Thank you for the tip. I will try it out in my offline time. Do you maybe think the same can be applied when wearing gloves? Many people including me wear them while painting.

I usually do 2-3 thine coats but my current ultramarines army im using contrast and I really like those paints I don’t really have to thine them down to with is good. Have you used contrast before if so what you think?
@FixusMiniatures9 ай бұрын
Hey Fredrik. Yes I have used them and to be honest they demand a lot more attention than regular paints to have the model look decent. I don’t know if it is something with me or the paint but I just cannot control them properly. They have some great application to them of course Like fur, hair, bases or airbrushing. but Apart from that I am getting rid of my Contrasts. They cost a ton of money here. The Citadel ones. For two bottles I can get 4-5 Vallejo paints.

I think I mange to control it fine but I do load it with maybe little bit more paint then I need lol. Jesus that sounds horrible here in Sweden 1 bottle costs 65kr with is a lot but I think I can manage my who army or at least most of it with 1 bottle

@fredrikjonsson-bj5ru I have like 30 or more of them. I sold the army painter ones some time ago. Just need to get rid of the ones from Citadel left and a few from Vallejo. I am still looking for my paint brand of choice. Something like Citadel but cheaper and in dropper bottles. Love their satin look.

Yeah I love citadel but I really hate there pots they are the worst. Just got another video idea when you find the paint brand your looking for make a video about that brand and why you choose it and the pros and cons of your old paint brands

@fredrikjonsson-bj5ru that is a great video idea. Thank you. My first video ever is on transferring Citadel pints to dropper bottles if you want to have a look.

Thanks to the Great Emperor for Google translate 😆 well…. I like painting blue. That is why Crimson Fists and Night Lords are the Chapters of my choosing. It doesn’t hurt that they have great Lore as well. Ultramarines…. Well they are nice to. It is a shame they got so OP at some point in the stories. It really made them less attractive. Cheers friend from Poland

@FixusMiniatures im from Argentina. Bubblegum legion makes reference to those minis that looks thicc, like bubblegum. "The first mini always belongs to the bubblegum legion"

@johnatanrueda2584 Johnatan that sound great. I only heard good things about Argentina. Really looking forward to seeing it one day. Great to talk to someone around the globe and have a laugh about the Blue Boys. We call them Smurfs here but I think most people do.
