Two tips that have really helped me out is 1: look at your planner before you pick up your phone. This really keeps me on track and motivates me to check off my to do list. 2: on Monday and Tuesday for a hour a catch up on things i need to do. Or work on a goal or a project.

Thanks Heather, relatively new to this and I love watching you. You are so helpful to someone getting started in this. I have a Happy Planner, or 2 and have started a system that seems to work. My one little word is ORGANIZE this year... hopefully this sticks!

So many great tips! Even after a year and half of happy planning I still struggle with looking at my planner on the daily. I need to make that a goal!🙂

Thanks for this video! I keep trying to get into planning and am still trying to figure out my preferred layout. I'm trying to get into bullet journals as well. My goal is to make my ADHD work for me this year.

Great tips! I didn’t really even decorate much in 2020 in my planner. This year I’ll take these tips to heart and use my HP this year. TFS

Great tips...I am really working on getting my planners organized and using them regularly! A little shaky on using my faith planner -- not really enough space for me to SOAP (I have a separate journal for those studies), but I plan to incorporate my devotionals in some way. Also excited for memory planning but I'm not sure how much to decorate/plan BEFORE the days happen that I want to remember! Thanks so much for your most helpful videos!!

Great tips, Heather! I've been using a paper planner for over 30 years in one form or another, but this is my first year with a Happy Planner, and it is COMPLETELY different from any planner I've ever used. Through 2020, I began to wonder if a vertical spread would work better for me than the horizontals I've been using for the past few years since I changed from a daily (which I didn't really need anymore). I know I'm going to have some growing pains, but your tips in this video have helped to reinforce what I already know/practice. Thank you.

Every time I start to set up a planner, disaster happens. Last year not only was there Covid, but my daughter had back surgery and I had a hysterectomy. This year, I was evacuated due to a wildfire and before I could recover I was in the hospital for a week and I'm still in a nursing home on rehab, but I should be going home. I've been away from home for nearly 5 weeks. With all this I am afraid to plan even one day.

I will try my hardest to try this .. cause I love the thought of getting my planner all nice but then after 2 weeks or so I feel overwhelmed 😒.. I’m also a diabetic and I’m trying to incorporate that in my planner .. but then I get frustrated 😣
@uniquelyplanned4433 жыл бұрын
I'm also diabetic...what are you trying to incorporate into your planner? Maybe I can help.
@CYSLOVE793 жыл бұрын
Hi .. Janel I guess I want a section for my sugar logs and what I eat and my medications and insulin logs .
@uniquelyplanned4433 жыл бұрын
I have used a separate planner for those things. I like vertical so I used one box for each meal and divided them in half horizontally if I did snacks (I don't usually because I am on a pump not shots.) I have also used the monthly calendar to just jot down all the numbers like, glucose; carbs; insulin, if I didn't need/want to record the actual food. You could also pop in a half sheet or a note sheet to record all of it. Just pop it in and record M-W on the front and Th-Sun on the back. If you need to keep track of the sheets for yourself or your doctor, you could store the ones you have filled out in the back of your planner or a separate planner/happy notes so they're all together. Hope that helps! Your planner should make life easier not more frustrating.
@uniquelyplanned4433 жыл бұрын
You could also create your own sheet (and laminate it if you don't want to keep the information) and pop that in your planner.

Thank you.. I’ll probably do a separate planner then for my diabetes.. that’s sounds like great ideas .. thx ☺️
