I’m a senior solo traveler and I love cruising with HAL. I do pay the single supplement but I know they have some solo staterooms as well. I get all kinds of great deals with them with prices comparable or cheaper than NCL and HAL gives great value for your money. Haven’t been on the other 4 you mentioned.

I love sailing SilverSeas, but as a solo traveler, they have some inside solo cabins, but on limited trips. Otherwise, I found the single suppliment anywhere from 25%-100% of the published double occupancy rate.

Saga cruises for over 50s only. You mentioned Queen Mary2 and showed the old Queen Mary!

We'll take a look at saga for our next video on cruises for seniors! As for the video of the Queen Mary versus Queen Mary 2, finding great stock video of either of these ships is difficult. If you have any recommendations on where we can find better video for this, please let me know! I really wish we could just go on board and do a video shoot, but unfortunately, we don't have the budget for that just yet. Hopefully in the future though!

AMEN! So many cruise video posters all think we have tons of disposable incomes and think nothing of promoting a 7-14 day cruise, when most of us can barely afford the least. It takes us a year just to pay off the cruise and we've only been on two (third one was cancelled due to COVID).

I totally agree. When I was doing the video, I forgot the change the volume on the background music and I was doing the video on a Saturday so we didn't have our usual checks on the video sound. It was super frustrating because once you post a video on KZbin, you can only delete the video and start over and if I did that we would lose all these comments and views. Anyway, I will make sure it doesn't happen again in future videos. Thanks for the note!

my biggest complaint is not the accommodations onboard, but the accessibility while in port. for instance, the length of the mooring to the hub of the port of cozumel is very difficult for me to manage. consequently, i don't cruise as much as i would like because i can't enjoy the ports of call. someone please start taking that into consideration.

I completely understand. I spent 6 months in a in a wheelchair and moving around in places like that is so difficult. That said, its hard to do research on all these places without actually going there though. Maybe over time we can put together some videos about accessibility at different ports of call across the world. I'll just need to figure out how to get the data on those places.

Viking Cruises does not have a casino. Been on Holland America Line. It is a good line with good food and service. Haven't been on Silversea, but, don't know if they have a casino. Been on Cunard, very formal. Made casino smaller and took out the craps table. Haven't been on Regent Seven Seas. Don't know if they have a casino.

I was thinking about doing a video on the casinos on these different cruise lines. I haven't been on a lot of them myself though, so I don't really know. I'm hoping that maybe I can get the cruise lines to respond directly to me so I can get the research done on them. Is there anything else you would want to know other than the size of the cruise line and whether or not they're big enough to have craps tables? I always find it really frustrating when they take the craps table out. That's my favorite casino game.
