Several people came up to me to say “I don’t know what it is, but you just look great!” I wore dark wash blue jeans, a forest green blouse with gold accent, black moto jacket, and dark grey Chelsea boots. Yes! I embraced the loose top and skinny jeans a few years ago and it is the only thing that flatters my body type. I have a wider waist and skinny long legs. Flare jeans look terrible on me. This was so helpful! After watching this and looking in my closet I totally noticed signatures that I hadn’t realized before.

1) I HIGHLY recommend Erin’s Style Reboot Series if you’re struggling with your wardrobe or even if you’re not! There is so much info contained in these videos, they are worth watching over and over; 2) Get the checklists! I have these taped to my wall in my closet; keeps me focused to fill in the areas I NEED vs all the trendy items. These checklists are especially helpful during the Nordstrom sale when it’s sooooo easy to wander off.....;3) Use Erin as a resource!! I don’t know how many times I’ve asked her questions for things like what to wear on my winter vacation to my sons graduation to how to dress for my body type. My signature is definitely dresses. I find them so easy to wear because it is one piece. I struggle with pants and tops - not a big deal in the summer but I wish I could figure pants out when it’s cold. I have an hourglass shape and I find it hard to find pants that fit.

Go with high rise pants. Probably wide leg high rise. The n pair them with anything you can tuck in.

Yes, dresses are my signature as well, for similar reasons. I like how I can transition them from office to every day, and they are so easy to just throw on and have a look. But I often find myself attracted to all the variances of prints and colors and feel my wardrobe of dresses leaves me without a cohesive style. I also like that I typically wear a size or two smaller in dresses than I do in pants (pear shaped here), though I suppose I need to get over the size thing! Love the idea of a casual office transitioning to every day life video!

I think my go to is either a t-shirt or sleeveless turtleneck, a pair of flair leg jeans and a moto jacket with a scarf. I’ve been so happy flair leg jeans are back. Skinny jeans look terrible on my pear shape. They accentuate my large thighs 😳. Flair legs make me look taller and more lean.

Thank you Erin as this is practical and obtainable advice...it would be great to see more in depth , your suggestions to looks and styles of outfits best suited for each body type. Or perhaps take one type of uniform, like jeans, blouse and jacket and apply to the silhouette best suited for each body type. How would someone best interpret looks they see on Instagram & Pinterest and make them realistically wearable for different body types? Somehow when I try to do this, it doesn’t always seem to look or feel as good as the picture would suggest. ❤️ your channel!

Your vids have been showing up on my youtube feed quite a bit so I just subscribed as they are quite interesting. We are the same age and I watched the vids you did about aging. I get a lot of laughs when I tell friends this: most people lose weight in the face as they age, I've gained weight and my face looks fuller, so I don't have many wrinkles. Also genetically, I'm asian so I tend to get less sun damage even though I swim outdoors. And I didn't have kids so my body is different. I get compliments for looking 10 years younger and people don't believe that I'm in my 40s (in the dark I look late 20s). I know you work out and watch what you eat so you have a great shape! I should be more careful about what I eat and unfortunately I work long hours which offsets any workout at the gym... I am unusually big busted and petite, with a tummy issue (the apple shape but my mum and sis don't have this body shape - they're more typical chinese with small busts and small waists)! I wish I could find someone to tailor my clothes (my mum is relatively good but getting very old and has arthritis). Unfortunately I didn't inherit her talent for sewing and the ability to be able to see where to tailor. I have learned over the years, and as I gain weight, clothes that are more flattering. Pencil skirts work great for me but the problem is I like wearing flats and boat shoes/sneakers so I don't wear them much at work! I do like button down tops and blazers as they flatter bigger bust. I have nice legs and heels would work for me but i just can't wear them! Even kitten heels annoy me and feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately I also can't wear ballet flats as they are too flat and give me bunions (I had to stop wearing them at work!). I do find there are certain brands that I will gravitate towards as they will compliment me more because they might have clothes for shorter people like me or clothes with generous bust. My signature does change from time to time. I go through periods when I am really into something, like I love dresses in summer because I don't suit wearing skirts. I like blazers because they are more flattering on big bust (not double breasted though). And you're right - confidence and comfortability really enhances the look. I have not been able to find suitable work pants - all my suit pants look awful on me as they just point out the lack of waist and tummy whilst the skirts work. I only ever wear a suit when meeting with clients. It's winter in Australia now so I've taken to wearing black jeans with tailored shirts as I'm not required to be in a suit all the time at work. In previous years, I've gone through phases of dresses and skirts in tights for winter.

I hav never been able to jus dress for my body shape for 1- last few yrs has taking everything- right now I may find $1 in change that’s all I hav 2- I use to b in a size 2 after having 4 kids I went size 3 w stomach flab but after getting six 2 yrs ago I went up to size 6 it looks good everywhere except for my stomach which looks like a hard basketball bc of where it’s located I hav a difficult time finding shorts/jeans to fit!!!! You need to wear HIGH RISE everything... shorts, pants, jeans, skirts and suck in all that jiggle. Also, you may want to look into the Post pregnancy Tracy Anderson DVD workout. Hooked on your channel 💕This is were I am struggling as I work backstage so I dress to work and mostly in black and in movable fabrics which are not always flattering and it gets hot working so I have to wear layers but I would like to dress completely different in normal live but I do 8 shows a week so on my time off I just chill......😩👠👗(when I go luxury shopping I kinda look like a poor teenager rather than a grown woman! 💕)

I struggle with my signature style because I am currently a stay at home mom and the clothes that I am drawn to are things like skinny jeans with heels and a silk cami and blazer. I have watched so many body type videos and the closest I come too is an O or some call an apple. I have large breasts, a large middle and large hips. I am a size 16. I also have large thighs and knees and then the lower part of my leg is very slim. I look like a huge circle on two matchsticks.
