I gotta say, having totally divergent 3" setups is rad. I love my 1408/3052 setups, but also adore my 1105/1106 3" on 3016's and small motors. These are basically my new go-to for fun park flying - just need to figure out how to shove 10 LED panels into there to make it daytime bright.

Are you running the 4600 kv 1404? How did the 13amp ESC handle this? I was thinking 20 amp may be needed but 13amp does open up some options!

Sweet quad for small space ! Did you try the gemfan 3016? Recently build a 57g dry 3S 3" with 1203 6200kv and these props and this thing is pretty sick !

Im thinking about getting the emax 1404 3700 kv motors instead. If I pair them with a higher pitch prop; like the 3-3-3 or 3-4-3 do you think the outcome will be similar?

That's quite a low kv, it would still fly fine Im sure, but that's more towards 4s territory.

Looks like a prototype. Would be cooler if they refined it with translucent plastic, and sold it as an RTF w/ tons of LEDs to give it that DRL feel and a proper default tune.
