Perhaps I will resume again some day. I haven’t made a video in 2.5 years at this point, though. I needed a mental break, and then there was the pandemic and that didn’t help, and then I had a kid and that took all my time... it’s been quite a ride since I stopped making videos! But Digimon specifically has continued to be a part of my life, and I had even attempted making another channel just for Digimon called The Digi Dimension. I've been using humulos, but there is one thing I don't understand. Trainning means how many times I trained the digimon or what does it mean?

Yes, the number of times you train them. And how can you tell if you don’t remember? The “Effort” hearts each represent 4 completed trainings, so if you have 2 Effort hearts then you have trained your Digimon at LEAST 8 times. It may be more, though; it does not show partial hearts. Usually the training requirement is a range, though, so you don’t have to be exact. If it says “Training: 8-15” then as long as you see 2 OR 3 Effort hearts then you’ve met the requirement. If you see 4 hearts (or 1 or 0) then you over-trained and missed the requirement

I bought a translucent green digivice. I don't know what Digimon this version does and does not have, as it apparently doesn't exist as far as Wikimon's article is concerned. Does it have all the eggs at once, or none of them, I wonder? Also, is there a way to know how many care mistakes you've made? Because I'm now worried I may have accrued some by accident overnight while I was asleep. It's worth noting that the last couple of nights the digivice did actually wake me with alerts, but I have no way to tell if I missed alerts while I was asleep.

Translucent Green eh? Does it have pink or orange buttons & frame? The pink one has the Meicoomon egg, the orange one has the Coronamon egg. I would recommend humulos .com / Digimon instead! Unfortunately there is no visible tracking of care mistakes :’( So you need to keep good track yourself! I would recommend doing a bit of time manipulation so that they sleep all night; if you put them to bed and they’re not tired, they only take a 3-hour nap and wake up. But if they BECOME tired within those 3 hours, then you get until 7 AM Digivice time until it wakes up. So the easy rule of thumb is to just set the device to 9 PM because no Digimon stays awake past midnight and you’ll get a guaranteed 10 hours of sleep that way. And during sleep, no care mistakes can happen! So that’s 10 carefree hours you can sleep for yourself :)

Humulos does have the death conditions! It shows 4 as well, but I wonder if there might be more. The ones I’m thinking of would be what if you NEVER feed your Digimon, or what if you NEVER give it protein or train it so that it recovers strength? Perhaps those only count towards care mistakes, though. It would be an interesting experiment!

I believe the age only changes if it naturally rolls over past midnight. So if you were to set it to 11:59 PM and then it rolls over into midnight then I believe your Digimon does indeed age. But manually changing the time past midnight does not age the Digimon

The DMX versions 1-3 have all the same care mistakes and they did not add new ones. These newer devices actually have fewer things to worry about than the old 90s ones so they’re more focused on battles than they used to be! I hope you enjoy it, the DMX devices are great!

No it does not; it wakes them up for another 15 minutes but it is not a care mistake. There used to be a separate metric in the 1997 original for waking up a Digimon that’s asleep, but that is not part of these 20th devices

Yes, that’s 2 care mistakes! If you don’t increase their strength or feed them after the care mistake has registered, it will not give you another one later. Instead, your Digimon will die! So definitely don’t just let them sit in their weakness for too long afterwards ha ha

Yep, just the things I mentioned in the video! Waking up a sleepy Digimon is fine, as is waking up a Digimon that’s already sleeping :) The 1997-released devices that these are based off actually did track if you woke up a Digimon that was already sleeping, and some evolutions required this type of activity as well. But not these 20th anniversary ones!

Nope, but if you have a second Digimon that you put to sleep while the other one gets a care mistake then it will delay that sleeping Digimon’s evolution time by however long they were sleeping. If that’s 10 minutes, then it’s 10 minutes longer. If that’s 30 minutes because you did it 3 times, then it’s 30 minutes longer. So not much if at all!

Yeah, unfortunately too many care mistakes can kill any Digimon :( Also BlitzGreymon doesn’t need any care mistakes; the only way he can evolve any further is by Jogressing with a CresGarurumon! A Mega Digimon can live a very long time, though, so as long as you don’t make a lot of mistakes you should be able to keep BlitzGreymon alive while you raise a CresGarurumon. Next time!

Nope, the time is tracked separately! They want designed this time changing feature to help trainers out, but not let them cheat the evolution timing. Would be kind cool though if it did; like, hey I got a Mega from an egg in just 10 minutes! Lol

Well you’re not wrong! Actually the original ones from ‘97 were even worse because they also required things like purposefully waking up a Digimon while they’re sleeping in the middle of the night 😱 Cruelty! The X devices are actually MUCH better because it’s not about care mistakes at all, it’s about the level of your Digimon, how much effort they put in, and how many levels of the campaign mode you beat. So they DID fix it, but these 20th anniversary devices are based on the abusive original ones 😆

I guess the only alternative are the Digivices? Those usually aren’t v-pets though and the evolutions are temporary like in the show, so not exactly an equivalent experience

@@FiveJayGaming at this point i am thinking they could add some sort of "tough love" mechanic as i feel the care mistakes are meant to kind of represent that. they could add an additional training mode that's supposed to be tougher than normal training that will add what is effectively a "care mistake" but maybe with a new name for the mechanic. they could even keep in the old methods while just adding other various ways to increase the counter without forcing the owner/tamer into deliberate neglect

I think in theory it can live forever, it just becomes harder to take care of over time and therefore easier to accidentally let die. It starts to lose strength and get hungry very quickly and poop more often. If you get too many injuries from reaching maximum poop (4) or if it has zero hunger or strength hearts for too long, it dies. So as long as you keep a good eye on it it should live forever! But it can be fun to go for a different Digimon or to try to have raised one of everything so it’s ok if it dies

I think that if your Digimon has another evolution above it (that’s not a Jogress) and it doesn’t meet the evolution requirements by the time the window for evolution comes up, your Digimon will simply die of “natural causes,” but I believe it you are at the top-level evolution it can potentially live forever if you take good care of it

It doesn’t really affect the real age of your Digimon. As for the literal “Age” counter, that will only change when the clock switches from 23:59 to 00:00 naturally. So you could either artificially bloat this number by forcing the clock repeatedly back to 23:59 and allowing one minute to go by, or you could artificially shrink this number by always changing the time before midnight strikes in the device. But again, this isn’t really a number that matters anyway; it won’t change how long it takes to evolve at all

You may not be meeting the requirements to reach the Perfect / Ultimate level by the time the evolution time is up. If that’s the case, your Digimon dies instead of evolving :( Better double-check the evolution requirements; check out humulos.com/Digimon for evolution guides!

Well the mistake is that you don’t put a blanket on them when they’re sleepy. It’s like putting them to bed, and by not doing that they fell asleep on the floor! So changing the clock makes them sleepy, then the mistake happens when you ignore them for 10 minutes after that. Once that little symbol disappears you’ve gotten the mistake! Does that help clear it up?

Oh wait you did 3 care mistakes and you want Greymon? I’m sorry but Greymon requires 2 care mistakes or less :( And with 16 trainings it looks like Meramon is your only option now but you’ll need to get 3 overfeedings or the evolution will fail and you’ll end up with Numemon... if you want to do the overfeedings, I have another video on my channel for that; should be in a playlist called “Niche Corner” or if you search for Digimon

Good question! No, if you don’t clean up your Digimon’s poop then the only consequence is they get injured once 4 accumulate. If your Digimon gets injured 20 times total (not per evolution stage but total across ALL stages of that Digimon), then your Digimon dies... so make sure to clean up that poop because it could literally kill your Digimon if you’re TOO negligent!

I don’t think so, there’s usually a reason. But as they get older they get harder to take care of, so they poop more often, get hungrier and weaker faster, and if you don’t stay on top of them they may die due to too many care mistakes or too many injuries

That’s correct. As the video states, there’s only 3 “care mistakes” on this device: 1. Not putting a blanket on a sleepy Digimon within 10 mins, 2. I’m not sure! Haven’t really kept track. Definitely had some that were weeks old and then I took the batteries out. In theory they should still be there when I put in the batteries again and choose “Load”. I’ve seen some folks max out the age counter and hit 99! How about you?
