Something I would like to add.....You do not have to attempt all the 50 questions. The moment you get the 40th right answer, the test would stop which means congratulations..you have passed the test !

Hi, can you explain more about taking my driver's license and driving abstract for knowledge test. Can I go for knowledge test without it and later present it to them before my road test? How does a driving abstract look like?

Lokesh Bhattarai hi Lokesh. This is my exact experience. I went in for my knowledge test and after clearing my knowledge test they called me to the counter to tell me my result. They asked me if I have been driving in my country to which I said yes and gave my Indian driving license which was a proof that I had been driving for x number of years. Based on the number of years they gave me a class 5 learner license and took my Indian license. I have heard from many people that the extract is not needed but I had the extract just to be on the safe side. They will take your Indian license for sure and there is no way around it. I would recommend calling ICBC in your city to confirm if they need a driving extract but I am 100 percent sure they need your driving license to add experience to your Canadian license after you pass your knowledge test and will not return it. The driving extract is a simple document that you get from the state RTO office stating your name your and DL number and if you had any serious accidents etc while you were driving in your own country.

Hi I’m from Alberta here it’s different you need 25/30 to pass I did the test once and got 19/30 I’m VERY nervous to do the test again. I’ve read the whole guide and taken notes on every page of the guide. I’m done many practice tests and downloaded apps to do tests aswell I have also made flash cards with important numbers to do with the road rules and just important bits in general. I’m gonna go and give my test next week which I am very nervous for. I’m scared I won’t pass. Can you give me any advice?

tehreem Nadeem if you have skip the question option do use it... give the answers to the questions you are 100 percent sure about and then the ones you have skipped will come at the end. Getting many questions right in the beginning will give you confidence.... all the best...

Your license will be taken after you clear the knowledge test, you will be given a class 5 interim learner's license with a validity of 1 year. In this one year you have to clear your road test to get a Canadian class 5 license

I just failed yesterday. I had skip 5 questions, had 37 corrects and 5 incorrect, then the computer stop and said I failed please try again. I can’t even finish the leftover . I just used 15mins, not even overtime. I don’t get it? Are there suppose to have 50 in total? The weird part was there are 5 other people at the same time slot fail within 15 mins too

Yes there are 50 questions, you are supposed to get 40 right. You got 37 correct and 5 incorrect, that still leaves you will 8 more questions that you had to answer. That is odd, did you speak to someone there and tell them that you still had to attempt 8 more questions?

@@kylelim1697 skip feature should not be the reason for the questions to disappear. Many of us including me has used it. But if you are scared and feel confident about answering a question there and then rather than skipping it I would say don’t skip. Because fear would only make you lose your confidence. So do what makes you feel comfortable and confident. It’s really odd that 5 people would fail from the same slot at the same time. You should email ICBC and tell them what happened for sure.

Andrew I’ve done the test twice failed the first time and passed the 2nd time, the questions that are on the online practice test are mostly the same there a bit different but mostly first try I did only online tests I got 37/50 I read a bit of the book and got 44/50 I’d highly suggest take a look at the book and do the online tests

Is it good to skip any questions if I feel unsure? Because I skipped the questions whatever I felt tricky, I ended up finishing 29 questions and failed the exam. Please advise how many questions should be skipped in the exam if I am not confident. I was also hard to press on choosing the answer as I skipped many questions.

You should first attempt the questions that you are sure about and skip all those you are not sure of. I answered all those I was sure of and skipped the ones I was not sure of to save time at the end and think about. If you failed even after skipping then maybe you got most of the 29 wrong and need to spend a few more days on preparation. Skipping has got nothing to do with you failing or passing. As soon as you get 40 out of 50 questions right you get your "L Always attempt the ones you are 100 per cent sure of first and if you still fail - prepare more.

No the questions online are not going to be the real test. Please read the book it’s not only about solving one online test. It’s about you knowing the road rules so that you can drive safely on the road. When you will go for your road test after passing the knowledge test the instructor will ask you about many road rules which you won’t have answers to if you haven’t read the book.

The practice test is so useless, the questions they ask in ICBC are way more difficult than the practice test and they trick you with the question and you think 2 anwers are correct and you press one of them and that one is incorrect, (I failed my first time i got 74%) hoping to pass next time

@@aizaali8005 I have never seen help before, so I am not sure what that could indicate, perhaps what I am assuming that could indicate are 2 things; One is that it gives you some sort of hint or TWO some adult from the behind desk comes and answers your question, that is what I assume at least. Do not rely on the "HELP" Rely on the "SKIP" and make sure to read the book very carefully as many answers are on the book, use "SKIP" button if you are not sure, you can choose it up to 3 times being that your 3rd will be your last so meaning that if you skip it again, it will count as a X being incorrect, along as you pass within the acceptance rate you should be good. So read the questions very carefully -- weather that will be with your Mom or dad or sister or brother etc, you should get help from them to fully understand the material.

Let's be honest... very nicely presented video but didn't find any helpful tips here to skim through the material... might have worked better with a summary of atleast the few imp topics that we know users could be most confused about

We all love shortcuts don’t we? The matter of the fact is when it comes to driving on the road there is no skimming through the material. This is just the beginning, when you go for your road test the examiner will ask you intricate details only mentioned in that book. Don’t skim through, read the book twice!
