As someone who doesn't fully know every card in the game and I know this also means more work for the editors, but it'd be nice to have a card pop up for a short bit in the empty space around the game footage either when it is played for the first time a video or each time.

I think the complete lack of narration (something people like my partner appreciate watching TMT) over the games really hurts the clarity of the gameplay part of the video, and at the moment that is the majority of the video. Unlike TMT where you can explain the combos as theyre played and what the cards are doing, here you two are effectively just saying card names back and forth to each other. As much as I personally dont want to praise mtg commander gameplay channels, there is a very good reason they read the relevant part of the card being cast as they're casting it. I think you really gotta keep viewers in the loop, especially with such a new game!

I understand what you’re saying, but Elestrals is so much simpler than Yugioh that you can still understand what’s going on since there isn’t 15 cards being played in a single turn.

I don't wanna seem too brainrotted, but a second MBT doing post-commentary saying "this is good/bad" etc. would go a long way. Even beyond not knowing the cards, I wish I knew if we're lining the removal up meaningfully, what's in our opponent's range, hand quality and reads - the sort of stuff you wouldn't communicate live but that dictates play lines.

After just watching a bit of Elestrals contnet, I'm SHOCKED this game only has 20 life. Every deck runs 3x ambrosia; there really should be a higher life total so that the games don't devolve into such glacial-paced grinds.

How would MORE life make the game FASTER? Your still restricted by action economy, theres more life to actually chew through and you could play MORE of the glacial control runes, since you wouldnt be so hard pressed to spend that life.

@@OrmylLP I never said they would be faster. I said they would be less grindy. Games would last longer but players would have full access to their resources the entire time.

@@MomirViggwilv The fact that Elestrals only hit for one battle damage (most of the time) also contributes to how grindy everything feels. In MTG or Yugioh a 10 Attack or 4000 Attack monster will deal a significant amount of damage if it hits directly, but in Elestrals it will do at most three damage, and it dies just as quickly to an Earthquake (outside of some exceptions) anyways.

I would perhaps watch the elestriad to see how they play the game and the commentary on the game makes the game exciting as well. This allows you to see the gameplay more.
