since i assembled my computer every now and then this problem of turning on with the c disk at 100%. in the last 2 days it does it every time, i reset the pc 1 week ago and when i did it it took 16 hours. Now following the video it continues to give me the same problem, but loads things faster. Could it be a problem with the disk or the thermal paste?

You should also tell them how to find the informations/details of the root cause by themselves, whether it's a service, application, plugins/addons, malicious script/malware/virus, hardware failure because it's broken, or something else. So that they don't have to apply and wait the unnecessary things for hours which are not the exact solutions. A doctor never treat the patient with random treatment and medicine. An easy example: Task Manager >> Performance tab >> Open Resource Monitor >> Disk tab >> click on Read or Write column to sort the information (highest to lowest or vice versa). In my case, my 100% high disk usage is caused by antivirus automatic update & intermittent/unstable/disconnected network. I fixed it by temporarily terminating its related process and changing the update's schedule from automatic to manual.

Thanks for the video! This partially worked, but not as a result of your guidance. Turns out my Bluetooth keyboard, also created a problem with disc usage! I've since replaced with wired keyboard is everything is great! Do you know why that also created an issue resulting in 100% HDD usage? Thanks!

I HATE Windows 10. I've had to "fix" 100% disk so many times I've lost count. My computer will update & shut-down without my permission, and then I'll have the 100% disk problem AGAIN, FOR A DIFFERENT REASON. I ABSOLUTELY HATE this stupid operating system and all the automatic updates that cause more problems. It takes forever to boot, and the main disk stays at 100%, and the computer doesn't really respond to any input for ~5 minutes while it boots up. Unbelievable.

@@defaultavo I haven't found a fix yet. My computer still takes 5+ minutes to boot & come down from 100% disk usage. I've never had windows 10 working the way it should. I've had constant problems from the beginning. I wanted to keep windows 7 but they brute forced everyone to update to 10, their most astroturfed operating system yet.
