Fix 18v Hitachi nailer blinks orange

Trick is wo outer buttons...battery level and nail pattern button...This tip worked for my framing nailer...had a nail jam and got this situation ...thanks for tip...I may have sent it in for repair and got charged for a simple fix! Kudos.

So what you have to do since hitachi blocked half this video is you have to hold the middle power button until both of the leds flash orange then you hold the 2 outer buttons until the orange leds stop blinking, then you let go. You may have to press the blue nailing button after this because after you nail it once it will flash orange again

I'm a tool repair technician. At this point they need to be serviced, most likely the gearbox inside is worn. They have a life time Warranty on their tools, so find a service center near you.

I have the framer, I did this and it worked. no issues until about 1yr later. now when I reset it, it shoots one nail and starts flashing orange again. any advice?

I'm all tool repair tec, and work on these all the time. If you run into what you describe. Then it's time for service. They have life time Warranty on them.

$50 nail gun chanced it to see if I could repair it, looked up orange lights flashing, found this video. Easiest “repair” I’ve ever done. 🤣 kinda bummed as I just wanted to pull it apart to find the issue.

No. If you don't shut it off, it will shut by itself in some time.

I have purchased two of these in 1 year. Both the piston stayed out and will not retract. These two orange lights are blinking. Hitachi won't honor the warranty because i bought them off ebay which they told me its a third party company. Their repart center told me they don't Service cordless guns. 😕

I have a Hikoki bradder which won’t drive 30mm nails all the way even in pine. The nails sit proud around 3-10mm on nearly every shot. It’s been like this since new. Anyone have any self help ideas? My Hikoki framer is a beast and drives 90mm nails into LVL and hardwood with no trouble. Just the bradder has been annoyingly weak.

Battery powered? I have all the Hikoki(Hitachi) guns, I might have problems with depth if I dont really press against the material as the blowback is quite powerful. Your gun might actually have lost pressure in the chamber, that is easily refilled to specifications at a Hikoki-dealer. I think you can buy the air filling-adapter yourself on amazon as well.

The piston inside the tool slowly leaks air so it doesn’t fire as hard as it should. There’s a tool you can buy on Amazon for 60 bucks and a way to refill the piston. A guy demonstrates it on youtube

Ever figure it out? Mine is doing the same My metabo HPT NR1890DC strip nailer wont fire. I power it on go to shoot it makes a click noise. Flashes yellow then powers off
