It depends on what you want to do, but Divinci Resolve is free and studio grade. Black Magic Makes Divinci Resolve and the Black Magic Cinema Cameras. The entire software suite is like having FInal Cut, Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects all rolled into one suite. Did I mention it's FREE! It can be hardware limiting, and you can get a paid version but they really don't hold much back from the free version. Black Magic is trying to become the industry standard, and giving the software away is how they are going about it. Also, the software is great. I'm just not used to using it. I use Adobe Premiere and the Creative Cloud Suite. It's what I'm used to.
