Your Os is in D: so you do the activity in D drive. Here my Os was in C, so I move to change the directory into C: while coming to chkdsk /f / r c: , what is "c:" here? What drive i should change?

it's randomly appear and you have to search for that, check your OS with the help of directory as shown in video

For those that this tutorial doesn't help. Try to analyse periphericals. My case, there were a key in the keyboard thar was always pressed and the laptop couldn't boot properly.

Mount your drive using diskpart command, you can google it, and once disk is selected then resume steps.

When you run “bootsect /nt60 sys” command in second line your Operating System drive has to be show like “C:” or something if it’s didn’t show and you get output like this “\\?\”. Then you may consider your MBR is corrupted which required system to be gormatted. So in this situation if your data is important then connect your Hard Disk as secondary to an Desktop- Take data backup and then format your done.

It's seems to be HDD issue and your system MBR is corrupted, hence please connect your HDD to another desktop machine and backup all data and after that format your HDD and lastly restore all data backup.

I changed the name user in the folder C:/user/(myname) via the registry editor then i shutdown when i turn on voila black screen,when i try system restore this happen "To use System Restore you must specify which Windows installation" and there was an error like the one in the video, can I fix it like in the video? Dear You can't Fix this using this method, and very big mistake you did which is performing system restore- you would have solve that using safe mode login and changing the user name back to the original. Always remember if you want to change username then that will be done using > Computer Management> Users and edit the name as per your choice.

I managed to fix my issue - was failing the final step because I was trying to get BCD edit to look in C when my windows partition had changed its designation to E: 🤔 thank you so much for your excellent video and taking the time to respond to my comments!

It probably because you tried to troubleshoot in many ways and during the troubleshooting you performed wrong steps- for now if your computer really not responsing then i'll suggest format the machine by taking all important data backup.

your command is wrong it should be starting with chkdsk and after ch "k" is missing in your command

In most of the case I found system MBR is corrupted with when we get this error, hence I recommend you to take complete data backup on another hard drive and then format the system. Trust me in your situation this is the only solution.
