Fix "Country Code Not Updated" DJI Avata & DJI FPV drone

For reference I had the country code needs to be updated error. I used the dji assistant 2 and it didn't work. I had to unbind the drone and start the process of setting it up for the first time over again. First when you get the avata or avata 2 go outside on a clear day and set it up for the initial setting. Doing it in your house doesn't it doesnt receive satellite GPS location. The drone will work but with the country code update error, and you will be limited on distance and altitude, and have to do the process over. In the initial set up you use your phone, connected to the goggles 2 or 3 thru the data cable, while you link the drone and remote. It should work. If you already binded your drone and have this problem unbind the drone reinstall the dji fly app and reconnect to the drone like it's your first time but make sure you are outside.

Can you pls explain what to do if you have already binded the drone. Do I just unbine it on my phone. Or do I have to unbind the controllers as well. Pls help me explain how to unbind

@@Nidheesh yes, go to device management and unbind from there. Just the drone needs to be unbinded.

@@jamirosat lo desarmé todo y no vi ningún daño físico, pero al desconectar el cable del módulo GPS aparecieron otros errores ya que tiene varios componentes incluido el IMU, seguramente si cambio el módulo GPS completo se arregle... intenté darle unos golpes para desbloquearlo como lo hacen en otros drones DJI pero no anduvo

Update: Thanks buddy looked like this update by pc on drone firmware eliminated the country code error. I've only updated the firmware for drone and not plugged in the goggles and RC motion controller 2.

Already refreshing my o3 FW, but the issue still remains. When I plugged my G2 to my android phone and turn on my drone…the issue disappeared. Maybe there is two alternative

Make sure you activate everything one by one using dji assitant 2 for consumer drones on your pc or mac. Once you have activated and updated everything you can turn everything on and bind them to each other by holding down the power button. Once you've bound everything you must connect your phone to the goggles so that you can activate the final step. After that part, you don't need to hook up your phone again.

I got my Avata 2 and still have this pesky "country code error" after I've updated the firmware as per instructions, there is still no change the error still exists, not sure what to do 😞

@@austinburgdoff4939 so you have confirmed the done is activated and updated on dji assistant 2 for consumer drones? If so, you did log out of your dji account, restarted your phone and logged in again?

@@InfinityDrones Yea, everything is updated. I did the refresh on my drone, goggles and remote just to be sure. I saw another post online from someone on DJI forums saying they fixed it by restoring to factory settings, as well as unbinding it from their account, then doing what you said, then rebinding it again and trying to use it.. worked for them however when i tried it, nada. Im dying over here to race through some trails with my brother while hes on his bike but theres no way im gonna be running with goggles on and flying the drone 😂

I got same problems recently but I am using DJI goggles 2 , air unit O3 and RC 2. I tried your video advise ,refresh all, did not work. I got it the country code disappeared after I connected goggles to DJI flyapp in iphone instantly. Only with iphone it is solved , Android phones cannot solve this problem. Just sharing

FIX: You need to have your iphone (DJI Fly app) connect to your goggles v2 with O3 connected. Once it has connected, all works and the error goes away. Hope this helps others. Added, i had to use an lightning to USB C for my iphone to work

If you use Android , connect your drone to ipad or iphone and then remove the cable back to your android phone. It will work fine. This is what i did , i have samsung phone. Thanks for the video anyway 👍🏻😇

@@botchitong Good to know! I just never want to connect to the fly app because I do not want to loose my mods. I have the dronehacks mods on my dji fpv and I don't want dji to do a forced firmware update. So I stay very far away from the fly app.

Hi, I have Avatar + Potato. In the v2 goggles no home point or mbps showing in goggles for Potato it shows for Avatar. Do u know anything about this 😂😂😂

Sorry to hear. Sadly, you connected and registered your account on am open network (you probably used a VPN or you might not have been aware of this but your ISP is at fault). Dji's servers detected you as in a different country and therefore you have this issue. I see this often with guys that use vpn servers to avoid blocks like Netflix etc has.
