Fix for Dynamite Launcher Snag

I found that by removing the locking mechanism to the cord when the gear and rotator are off actually helps reduce friction and the snagging you get when using these dynamite launchers!
Hope this helps you all restore some older dynamite launchers and save money!

I just got the same overdrive set and on my first few launches the launcher was fine and then just like your issue the launcher started to drag, I looked for a while and finally found this video and now my launcher works great. Thank you

Is it possible that my spring feels "weak"? I have a golden db launcher that started to have this loose string problem. I did another mod I saw on youtube for the mechanism to be held more "tightly" by cutting a bit of the plastic inside and overlapping the end of the spring, so it doesn't get out. But even with that and after cleaning it, it still feels loose. I even twisted my string (like you do at 5:50) but I have to make like 5-8 extra twists to feel it a just a bit more tight. Even after all of that, the mechanism kinda work, the string retracts, but it kinda feels "weak".

Bro so I just got my new shu kurenai db launcher in the mail today and when I opened the package and looked at the launcher string it was hanging down like it was broke and soon enough it was broke but I had extra launchers without the spin unit and gear unit so I took the coil from that launcher and put it into my shu launcher😊

I didn’t do anything with that at all and to this day since that video was made my launcher still works great all it needs after the modification is some care while using it ie not yanking the string til it slams to the end of the line and etc etc

Unfortunately even with this little trick, my launcher broke somewhere in the wheel mechanism that slurps that string back up like a noodle, so I'll have to buy that crappy Savuior (don't think I spelled that right...) Valkyrie for its launcher......huuhhhhh, more money more problems...

I think beysandbricks.com sells that launher now by itself for around $20 so you might not have to buy the whole set, sorry to hear about the break though Ive had that happen to many of mine

Its ok, try taking it apart and having a look at the core spring and string piece, when i first did this myself it didnt work as well until i realized ibhad wrapped the string around in the wrong direction perhaps that may be the issu with yours?

Could try taking it back appart to see if anything is rubbing against itself could also be the gears themselves mine also makes noise when in use but I havent had any issues, just have to experiment around with these launchers

@@LazAgha0305 im glad to hear it, these launchers are finicky but the dynamite launchers overall are Takara’s best launchers for the burst generation and are the easiest to tinker around with, enjoy!

Well i could not get the top screws of valts launcher

oh no! did the screws wind up stripping? I have an I Fixit kit for PC repair and it came with a bunch of small screw drivers and that worked for me. If the screws haven’t stripped yet then dont keep trying try to obtain a smaller philips head. also when i did get those screws out it was notably difficult for me even though i was using the right size philips head

My old db launcher work fine it’s mostly the ones that come in the overdrive set and the super Hyperion and king Helios set
