PRO TIP for all the people struggling with this. Set all sections width to 100% (not 100vw) and mark overflow hidden. This was driving me crazy.

This actually was my problem. The page keep having a little tiny overflow, like 1px & all the solution in the video didn't help. I did manage to isolate & find the problematic section by deleting things, but the only half ass solution I could think of was reducing it to some weird number like 99.98vw. But using 100% solved it. Thanks.

Great video. 👍 But I like to add one thing: While the solution with overflow:hidden on sections is fine most of the time, it can create a new problem, if you what to have any sticky objects as child elements. In Webflow position:sticky only works correctly, if all it’s parent elements are set to overflow:shown. Just something to keep in mind. ✌️

@@jessypage2172 Yup. Easy. Only use overflow:hidden on a site wrapper if you are sure, that you won’t use sticky elements. If you want to use sticky elements in specific sections, set the overflow value for each section separately. Also, you can set the overflow to hidden for objects inside a sticky div with no problem. 👍

Technically you need to wrap the sections in a section tag then apply a utility class for overflow-hidden.

I had this issue the other day but it was a CMS list that was set to 'Don't Wrap' and it was forcing it outside the viewport. Set it to 'Wrap' and all was good again.

My problem is that when i change the overflow to hidden, my images don't overflow vertically anymore. This means that design elements that should go over the boarder of their own sections are cut off at the beginning of another section. My fix was to set overflow-x: hidden but that is not possible in webflow without using custom code integration, as far as i know. Does anyone have a fix for this problem?

its not solve the problem if u have position absolute background element. For example i have a 2000x2000div with gradient blur effect at background. In the section. So i cant hidden the overflow and i cant delete this element.

Guys! Let me to give you a simple solution, if you definetley do not want to use a horizontal scroll on your website, you need to specify it in CSS on all page or all site. Go to Page settings (or project settings) and give custom CSS atribute in : .your-body-page-class { overflow-x: hidden; } /style>
