Fix iLife not working right - stops/turns often

iLife or Roomba - clogs cause robots to act a fool.

My iLife has started displaying similar symptoms just earlier today (i.e. changing directions abruptly). I went on browsing the net in search of a solution and stumbled upon your video. Cleaning the inside of the front wheel compartment did the thing. Thank you so very much!

We have two of these, one upstairs and one down. Both started just going in circles. I followed your instructions and they both run perfectly again. Have had these for about 18 months. They do a great job cleaning up after our two beagles. I also followed another video and thoroughly cleaned them also but your fix did the trick. Thanks!!

My Tesvor looks identical and it kept going into Standby after cleaning for 2 minutes and was driving me crazy because I had no idea what the problem could be. I cleaned it per your instructions and it’s working perfectly again. You are the best!

OMG thank you so much. My robot has been acting strange for a while. At first it was doing what you showed on your video so I cleaned the sensors and it worked great for a little while and then it started acting up again. I would turn it on and it would go a few inches and then it would stop and beep red. My husband thought that the battery was going bad but I saw your video and pulled up the wheel. Oh my goodness. It was so clogged with fur and dust under there. I cleaned it and it's working great now. Thanks again for posting this video.

Great! My iLife is working again. It presented this symptom a few months back and I used an air can to clean as much as I can, this time the air can did nothing, and yes, there whole bottom of that wheel was full of fur from our dog. Thanks a lot!

Holy hell, I have literally spent hours cleaning this thing and tearing it down to the circuit boards trying to fix this. Nothing from iLife showed to remove this wheel. You are a king among men. Any way to donate a few bucks to you for this hugely helpful video?

THANK YOU! I had cleaned out the socket that the ball wheel fits into, but the wheel itself was stuck and not rotating. Cleaned it out and voila! Clem works again!! (ours is named Clem because he's white and looks like a clam)

It was the wheel for me as well, didn't realize that could be taken out and it was clogged really bad, wouldn't spin freely. Still having some issues with it acting a fool but this is one step out of the way!

This helped a ton. Mine would vacuum for 15 seconds then would shut off. The wheel housing on the bottom comes out and the spinning wheel on mine also comes out with a push. In my case it was the spinning black and white wheel sides that needed to be cleaned, they were full of pet hair.

Thank you! Ours was just turning off straight away but we could manually drive it so knew it wasn't the battery. I also found that I had to pull the yellow "turbo brush" out, pull the black end cap off (the one that isn't screwed in) and clear the tangled hair from there too. We were about to throw it out!

That is a great catch. I'm not sure I would have ever checked that if the ball was spinning freely. I don't have an ILife (Koios) but I suspect they make my unit. Does yours ever need to be reset (unhook battery) because it won't vacuum in house mode? Thanks for the heads up.
