Mine refuses to install the update, after I select install it just load on verify and then goes back to normal home screen without the installation

Please check settings - general - iPhone storage. Pease make free up storage by deleting pictures and videos which takes large storage on your device. And then try again to install new update. Also follow this guide - www.howtoisolve.com/unable-to-verify-update-ios-ipados/

I have iPhone 13 and it will not download the 16.6 update. I never get the agree on terms and conditions screen. It goes straight the requesting download and then fails saying “error downloading the update” I tried all of your tips to solve this including the tips in comments and reset my network settings and still will not download

Hello dear mine is successfully updated on iOS 16.5.1 and I’m using that but whenever I check software updates for iOS more it says Unable to check for update an error occurred while checking for a software update. It’s internet related issue. Please reset network settings. And enter your wifi password again. This will fix your issue. Keep in mind before following this you must have your wifi password remember because of once u will reset network settings. It will delete all stored WiFi password.

I have iPad 7th gen, and I’m currently trying to update it to 16.7.1 it lets my hit “download and install” and gives me an estimate time. Once it hits 0 seconds it says “Software Update Failed (An error occurred downloading iPadOS 16.7.1)” I don’t know how to fix this but I can’t. 😭 (Edit: I fixed it but I can’t remember how)

In such case, I suggest that you please give your device maximum time, because of some time due to low storage space, the new update hasn't enough room to establish. Right, so your device must have at least 1.5 gig space to install the downloaded OTA update.

So try to reset network settings and re-connect your WiFi to device. But before that you must have your wifi password on hand. Because of resetting network setting will erase your Wi-Fi password on your phone. Try this hint will work. ☺️

You can update your phone via - the settings - general and software update page. If Over the air not working, then you should do this using a Pc computer or Apple Mac.

Did you get it updated? I also have a battery replacement and it won’t my iPhone is stuck on IOS 14.8😭
