I use Future Floor polish to clear coat several coats on the peg joints and it gives it a tight seal in the knees.

Hi Dave. Did you ever figure out a way to tighten the arms/elbows on this style of figure? I wondered about gently tapping the rivet to try and tighten up the joint. Failing that, perhaps the thread trick in the joint?
@plastiqueproductions66353 жыл бұрын
I use similar action figures for stop motion. tightening the joints is a useful thing to know
@Diabolik7719 жыл бұрын
Use a drop of Pledge floor polish. Let it seep into the joint and dry and do it again let it sit overnight. I did my Buck Rogers guys and it works really well.

hello, you are a master of repairs thanks for sharing your art. I consult you, you know how to replace the rivets of the arms. This repair is giving me a headache. Thank you for your help.
@toypolloi4 жыл бұрын
Not something I have done. but I know you can get a small riveting machine. The rest I guess requires practice. Cheers

Hello sir...Most of my Joe's screws are rusted and they are not coming out too, please tell me what I need to do to open those screws ..
@toypolloi4 жыл бұрын
If they are that rusted then you will need to drill them out. Don't drill too much, just enough to take the head off the screw. There should be enough of the shaft left them when you open the figure to grip with pliers and remove.
@DanishKhan-eq6nc4 жыл бұрын
@@toypolloi but if I drill is there any chance to broke the figure?

And please make a vedio on it so we can understand it well because most of collector facing this problem too

The arms could be tightened with elastics used with braces for one’s teeth..they are very tiny and clear or tinted white..just a thought .

HI Does repairing reduce the resell price of GI Joe figures and would you know where to get the 2mm screws for the back from. I am UK based Thanks
@toypolloi8 жыл бұрын
Replacing the O-ring will make no differenc to the value as these degrade and break all the time. So other restorations may affect the value, depends on the buyer. I have never bought any of the screws, but try a model shop.

Thank you for quick reply Great videos really helpful tips !!
@ryanbarker52178 жыл бұрын
a quick fix like this shouldn't hurt the value at all as you can always 'undo' the fix and 'restore' it to his, ah, 'original' screwed up condition. extensive repairs means your item probably has no value in the condition it's in, so you can't possibly make it worse unless you took a hammer to it. everything inbetween can be a gray area. common sense and good judgment are your best tools here. and remember ~ a collectible is worth only as much as someone is willing to pay for it, and collectibles are a bad choice of investment. that is, never buy a collectible with the idea that you'll keep it for awhile and someday it'll be worth a lot of money. if you're going to do that, buy star wars legos, that shit is a better investment than gold.

If the peg is broken, how do you repair that?
@toypolloi5 жыл бұрын
You can buy styrene rod the same size as the peg. Drill a small hole and fit some of that. Paint to match.

I've not tried it, but I would have thought it would work just as well. You can put the tape on the inside shoulder peg and it will be completely hidden. Give it a try and let me know how you get on.

I've always used super glue or krazy glue. You can find krazy glue with a brush applicator that works great. Just apply a coat or two to the pegs....one one coat at a time. Apply a coat, let it fully dry and then test fit.
