The reason to have the shock on the top is to allow the strut to receive lubrication on operation otherwise it can dry out and cause issues. You can also add extra lubrication such as WD40 to improve operation.

Nah, you don't need something so special. Any stick will work. Choose something long and strong

How do you work out the measurement for the size of the strut and the weight? Do you measure the entire length or just the thicker piece? My struts held 65kg. To get stronger, would that mean longer?

Remove one and see if can be closed,if it can - change with a new strut. If can not,.will need a new mechanism's

Not all pistons are the same size. Therefore, measure the dimensions of the existing pistons and make sure you buy the right product.

Hi - do you know how can a shock be checked if it works or not? I know one is not working for my bed but bought two new ones and none seem to compress when I push the bed down. Thank you!

Can be semi working. Here one of them was completely out of gas so was easy to compress and seen that it bad. Best practice - change both.

Дори половин година не издържа, 3 месеца максимум. Да кажем че причината е обратния монтаж - от другата страна продължава да работи. Сложих скоро метална рамка , има клип в канала , може да видиш как я държи накрая. Менте си беше от Роси.
