And maybe some commentary describing what parts wear out the fastest, which ones you wanna make sure are in perfect condition and others that can wear down and still be functional, things like that. Also describe what you're doing exactly lol I work for the boss of a construction company slowly working up to larger and larger equipment and knowing the function of each part I consider critical to understanding how to diagnose a tools dysfunction. Good job though!

Judging by the commutator and the brushes its not done a lot of work. Probably because these come with too little grease in the gearbox from the factory. I opened mine up when I got it and there wasnt a lot in there. I filled in at least 30-40ml of NGLI 0 viscosity grease and it was an adequate grease filling then. Ofc never overfill these gearboxes. But bro you really should be using the original Makita grase or another hammer gearbox grease. They are low viscosity grease in the range of NGLI 0. Rotary hammers dont have oil seals on the gearboxes for no reason its to keep that liquid grease in. Hammer gearboxes need a low viscosity grease to work properly long term.
