for the love of God do NOT microwave or put anything plastic in a microwave. I don't care if they say its microwave safe. The plastic will leach into your food exposing you to chemicals. Use glass containers instead. Hold down the 0 button. It will then show OPT-1. Keep clicking until OPT-6. Then hit 1 for ON or 2 for OFF

Hi, holding down that button got me an error code too. Unplug it to reset it and get rid of that error code. As far as getting our brand new microwave to heat- we have a service appointment scheduled.
