To every who has tried all methods but still can't get rid of it. I have been working on this problem for a few days. I have tried all kinds of methods but none of them has worked. Finally I figured out. Just go to Setting-->Accounts-->Access work or school and delete one or more "work or school account" connects (in my case, it was my daughter's school account). Problem solved.

Another thing that could cause this issue would be if you somehow have a school/work account linked. You can check that by going to settings>Accounts>Acces work or school and making sure no accounts are connected.

Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update. Double click Configure Automatic Updates, select Not Configured. Click Apply, followed by OK.

@@Cocker_Spaniel so I had to completely wipe my computer, this works but only if you’re fine doing it as it will wipe all important files and other documents pictures and whatever else off your computer. I’m sure there’s another way but basically don’t use your work or school email to sign into an windows related account if it’s a personal computer. So if you can change the work or school email you’ve used to log into your windows account or whatever account is related to windows that should work but the easiest thing for me was to reset my entire computer back to startup factory settings

When I clicked on Allow Telemetry, I followed what you did and selected enabled. When I clicked on the drop down under options, full didn't come up, the only options that came up were: security, required, enhanced and optional. No idea what went wrong, could you help?

if this solution not fixed your problem and you guys useing school accont like me you can try remove it it should be fix your problem Click Start then Settings. Click Accounts on the Settings window. Click the Access Work or School tab. Select the account you wish to remove and click Disconnect. Confirm you want to remove the account.

Hey, not sure if anyone else reading through these comments has this issue, but when i go to open gpedit.msc (w/ elevation of course) I get a small window saying, "Failed to open the Group Policy Object on this computer. You might not have the appropriate rights." Under that, in the same window it has a box labelled "Details:" and all that is written is "Unspecified error". This is the only active user account, it has admin privelages, i ran as administrator... My question! Can you (or anyone reading this) give insight and/or the direct commandline script to toggle telemetry in gpedit.msc? Ths is one of the weirdest little glitches ive ever seen, and ive fixed up a lot of machines

I took my PC to a technician and he disabled a lot of Win Updates Options in the same folder (Data Collection and Preview Builds or Recopilacion de Datos y Versiones Preliminares in Spanish) Just double click one option, change State and Click Next Setting until they are all done

I found a solution: Open Run (by pressing windows logo button + R) then type this: gpedit.msc After that go to Administrative Templates>Windows Components>App Privacy> and then choose what you want to permit and double click it. From the drop down menu that says Default for All Apps choose the following option : User is in control. It should work now!

Hi, I'm currently facing a problem where my brightness automatically goes to zero although my laptop is fully charged and still connected, when I try to max the brightness it then once again sets it to zero. This problem is affecting me a lot during my studies. It'll be really helpful if you could provide me with a solution for the same.

That to me seems to be a problem with the volatge for the Backlight on the Display. Some computers have software to manage brightness control from keyboard keys, some times that can be the issue, you can check that, re-install or install the software for that (if your computer has it) or the simplest setting, try to check if you have adaptive brightness on, you should turn it off. Hope the two options help you and is not the issue with the backlight.
