I’ve found that if you’re trying to like soften up a really really thick or hard store bought slime to add (i know it sounds crazy but it works): toothpaste, hair conditioner, or honey. Toothpaste and honey (separately) can soften your slime almost instantly when mixed in but it can melt slime so dont use too much. Conditioner works as a substitute for lotion.

I have made metallic slime before and it was stretchy and good, hers are worse than putty there pretty but I can't poke, stretch, crackle, or even hardly squish it its so hard.
