I spent all day going through KZbin videos and blogs trying to figure out why my USB port was not being recognized and malfunctioning. 15 hours later, I realized my USB cord had wear and tear on it. The tiny copper wires were barely sticking out through different areas of the cord. I used a different cord and all was recognized and not malfunctioning anymore.

I watched about 20 videos to solve this problem and the solution is very simple. You just need to press the power button for 20 seconds, then the USB ports will reset and everything will be back to normal.

What worked for me was to power reboot the PC by holding the power button down for 40 seconds, then powering the PC back up. Hope this helps.

Tried all 5 Options, none worked. I have tried 4 different mouse, 3 wired, 1 not wired with dongle. I get power to light the red light in the mouse but cannot get the pointer to move. To move pointer I have to use mousepad. 😢😠😤 Anybody have any suggestions??? Thanks in advance.

My problem was that I had a high quality headset plugged into a usb 2.0 when it needed to be 3.2 due to high power draw. hope this helps someone!
