*Perfect and I’ve used it for ballon arches as **enjoyable.fishing** recommend well as other decor with parties. It is strong and will hold up well. It works so good that another decorator stole my roll at an event!*

Thanks for taking the guesswork out of hanging frames with wire. Never considered that the little bumpers helped with air circulation but it makes sense. I have added D-rings to most of my frames but wasn't sure about how long the wire should be. Thanks for a no non-sense, well done video. Very helpful to this DIY-er.

Very clear and concise instructional post - thank you! Can I please ask what gauge of coated wire you use here? Your web site just shows by weight (19.5 or 9.1kg). I purchased 1.5mm coated and it is impossible to bend let alone tie up! (So it was returned). Your video shows a very workable hanging wire. Appreciate your help - greetings from England 🏴

In art school and at a local framing workshop years ago, I was taught that twisting the wire into tight coils as shown in the video above -- while it looks nice -- doesn't actually help with the stresses involved in a picture hanging from a wire, and that the correct way is not too loose and not too tight. Too loose and it defeats the purpose of coiling around the center wire in the first place. But somewhere in the middle with enough gap is the best way "as dictated by physics"... allegedly. Something to do with maximizing surface area and tension. Has anybody ever heard of this? My coworkers twist very tight coils (nice looking) and I twist looser coils. None of us have ever had a picture fall because of wiring, and I personally have hung probably over 1000 frames over the span of 7 years of wiring and hanging art in exhibitions, shows and galleries. Not to mention that until I started my own frame shop, I never did an actual knot. Just one loop through and then a semi-loose series of twists. This makes it very convenient for people who actually hang the work (so they can adjust as necessary).
