I have some troubles with my Astra's and your video's are very usefull! Only the vacuüm pump is driven by the multibelt trough the alternator! Thanks

no, it is not driven by the alternator. It is only fitted to the alternator. It is driven by oil pressure

at 0:41 you have a picture of the pump, see it. You can see where oil lines fit.

@@maartendegroot9111 Check this video: you can see that the pump is driven by the alternator shaft. The oil is used to create a seal helping the vacuum pump work (most air pumps use oil): kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYHdpKOQjqukkKM

interesting video - have to check my z17dth as well - i have huge crankcase pressure, but no power loss, no oil burning, absolutely no smoke (black/blue/white) out of the exhaust, the engine runs smooth - only thing that nerves is that it tends to leak some oil here and there after being driven hard. if i unscrew the oil cap on it, it can barely stand from the whole pressure (at idle).

Hello Sir! i have an opel combo z17dth! year model 2006! I get no fuel pressure to the engine! I know there is no fuel pump in the back, but just in the front! The fuel pipes is not blocked... if i put preassure in gas tank i get diesel to engine! But sometimes if i spray starting fluid in the intake and crank the engine for 20sec or so it starts and i can drive without problems.. so the fuel pump is not sucking/giving fuel/pressure? But when the engine is running the fuel pump works fine?! please do you have any suggestion?

Did you fix it? It could be the pressure regulator valve in the high pressure pump....common fail....

leave it here for anyone is looking: that is most likely caused by air leak on the fuel filter or fuel line, most likely fuel filter is the wrong size, coz believe it or not there are different sizes. one that work well is PURFLUX C511

hello people. I need help. i have an astra h 2009 year 1.7cdti z17dtr 92 kilowatts. I have serious problems with her. constantly reports errors p0234 and p0235 to me. my turbocharger is as new as the vacuum valve. WHAT SHOULD I DO. PLEASE HELP. THANKS

@@jainmechanic4916 I don't know which specific entrance you think is blocked, but I've reviewed everything. complete suction and vacuum system but I couldn't find any obstacles. And all masters suspect an IAT sensor that is part of the MAF sensor even if it works properly.
