Fixed! 2022 Hyundai Tucson Radar Blocked Front Collision Detection System Malfunction

I have had an issue with my 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid where the front collision detection system malfunctions and the cruise control stops working. It happened intermittently and I could not replicate the issue, but it would happen on the highway, long drives and even short trips to the grocery store.
The dealership did and ECU update bit that didn't work.The body shop said they reset the system and everything was fine.
I took off the front bumper cover and found the radar bracket was super loose. I tightened all the bolts and reattached the front bumper cover and all is good.
I also added some sound deadening material to the reverse speaker to tame the annoying backup beep on the hybrid.

I've been having the same problem since my SF got out of the shop. I'll get them to check it. (Idiots put in the wiper motor backwards. Don't ever use Frank's)

Hi Scott, may I ask if this problem can stop the car and not make it move completely, because I have exactly the same car, the hybrid version, and the radar problem appears on the screen and when I press the gas it doesn’t move at all .

Been having this issue as well. The dealership supposedly has been waiting for a new radar sensor for a month now. Interstate Hyundai in West Monroe sucks in the customer service department.

Hi, Scott. Is it easy to remove the front grille? Im thinking of replacing the horn but im worried it's hard to remove. Thanks.

Just remove the front bumper as one unit. Clips along the bottom, a screw each side in the wheel arches at the front,8 or 10mm, some bolts along the slam panel and then it just unclips from the wings and under the headlamps. Pretty easy to be fair.

It happened to me also. Because the sensor was detecting the car which is on the right lane!

Same issue here! my sensor is hanging! I see it when I remove the bottom covers, how hard is to remove the front bumper?

Hi Scott, Thans for share this information, May I ask do you facing Carbon deposition issue in this car after drive about 15000KM? the Engine light will tune on in dashboard, after check that show EGR system filter mesh was clogged. thanks

I have a 2023 Santa Cruz, 4,500 miles on it and I just got the same message, I'm hoping a bug got smashed and is blocking the camera/radar. It's dark, I need to wait for daylight
