@@Fix.369 yes. I did. I completely erased my iPhone and erased my watch. Started again and paired them. Now it kinda works on and off. It works when I have Airpods connected.

@@bottymanrique nope. I give up. At this point I'm just taking it as it is. But perhaps my WA account and app being on a business account and version have some bearing on it. I don't know. I'm not going to switch account and app just to prove it. Too much hassle.
