FIXED! - Camera Not Working in Windows 11 Laptop

A quick tutorial on, how to fix if the webcam or the camera is not working in your Windows 10 computer.

Omg thank you so much!! I have an exam tomorrow and couldn’t make my camera to work. I’ve seen several videos with almost the same solutions; reset, uninstall, download it again and I’ve done it all including restarting the computer several times. Turns out, all I had to do was to slide that privacy slider to the left😭💀😂

I have an Asus too. I just noticed the camera isn't working. Has a line through it. All my settings are good. Did you end up figuring it out? Also under device manager/camera it lists 2 cameras and I only have 1. They both have identical decsriptions but one has HD and the other has IR. I have no clue.

Thanks for the help. However, perhaps you should have started by saying what you inform at the end, about the "privacy slider", as it is probably the most obvious and easy measure (at least after someone as unfamiliar with computers as me realizes the existence of that thing...) to be taken.

** Before you watch this video, please check whether you have hit f11 on your keyboard like I did !! That disables the camera and will give you that symbol. I don't understand why all the videos I have watched so far have not mentioned this. **

My lenovo laptop had a switch on the side of the laptop.... Apparently some of their laptops have fn + f8 to turn privacy off but mine has a physical switch. No one reads manuals, let's be real.

@@kenzahkhan1429 You need to install the driver again from web by the brand of your laptop, mine is not a great brand so i can't find the driver or you can check if the cam of laptop are fine or not by opening the case. The only solution if none of it work just brought it at service center
