{FIXED} Dying Light Duplication Glitch {PS4/PS5} - Working after May's patch! {READ PINNED COMMENT}

I have noticed that some people are still struggling a little bit, so i thought it be a good idea to copy and paste the custom explaination that i have written somewhere in the comment section. you can read it down here in the description:
1: make sure you have the network checkbox double-tap action already prepaired, for later on during the glitch.
2: join a quick match.
3: wait for the warning to pop up, and accept it. Then when you are getting the black loading screen, double tap ps button to quickly turn off and on the network, and then double tap ps button to get back to the game.
4: you will get 2 warnings in total. Most of the times the pause menu comes as well. When the pause menu comes, you have to eventually press X 3 times. 1 time for accepting the warning. The 2nd time for pressing "resume" in the pause menu in order to close the pause menu. And a 3th time for accepting the 2nd warning. Get ready to press square after the 3rd time you have to press x, to open the storage and start up the glitch.
5: once you have accepted the 2nd warning, inmedetly start pressing "Square" to open your storage. Pressing square 2 or 3 times should be enough.
6: start pressing R3 + triangle( to drop stuff from your backpack) quickly non stop during the black screen. But keep in mind to stop dropping items when your screen is almost completely black (:
7: then let it load, and you come back after the black screen into your storage ( your cursor will be on the left side of the 2 lists). At this point, it's very very important to ONLY PRESS right D-pad. If you press ANYTHING else besides right D-pad, you will crash 💯% out of all the times.
8: once you are on your right side of the 2 lists ( storage section ). You scroll down to look for a item you want to drop. I suggest you to put a 99 stack of Medkits in it for example. Then you scroll down to the med kits, and press R3 & then triangle to accept dropping the whole stack.
9: from here, ALWAYS back out by pressing circle. If you press anything else besides circle after you dropped something, you're fuckd.

@@jdzspace33 when the part where you come back to your storage after returning from the internet off and on thing is done and after doing the glitch is done the “selector” will always be in the inventory and the storage will be to the right, when here don’t immediately scroll down while in your inventory, you have to press right dpad into your storage THEN scroll down a couple slots. @@tylerlandis88 i remember that somebody In the comment section confirmed that it does work on ps5, but i don't know how. My instinct tells me that you can just do the network trick too by using a lan cable, or just quickly go to the network settings of your PS5 and turn off network when you are joining a session ( the network trick part of the glitch) Please let me know if u figured it out (: that be great ✌🏽

To do this on PS5, you can put the network shortcut on your quick bar by bringing up the quick bar and pressing options. That way you can get to network quickly. Not as quick as the double tap but it is quick

Well, what i always used to do for clickers, kings, stacks of med kits, and lock picks and stuff like that, is:" placing them in the storage, and then just drop those at the end of the glitch after the black screen". It's because of the UV flashlight that you are having difficulties dropping kings and clickers, because the uv flashlight, is neither drop-able or storable, so you end up just dropping nothing. Also, for " the opening the storage part " after the network trick, make sure that you just press square once or twice, and if your screen is frozen up, then start spamming R3 + (optional, for if you want to drop stacks) triangle✌🏽

First of all, where does the glitch make the game crash? Can you specifically explain me what you do? ( Like:" i done the network thing, and came back to the game, then pressed x with the 2 notifications, and then after dropping the items/after the black screen, you crash " Am i right?

@@leeland9135 i bet it's the part where you come back after the black screen, isn't it? Because i explained in the video that the only thing you can and HAVE to press, is the right D-pad ( ---> ). After that, you scroll down in the Storage part of the 2 lists, the right list. ( left one is backpack, and right one is your storage). And then you search for 1 item, or 1 stack that you want to drop ( in the storage list, on the right ). Then drop that item, and then press circle inmedetly. If you press ANY button after dropping a item, you will crash. I don't understand how some of you guys still fuck up, even though I've been so clear in these videos 🤣 but it's ok, we are all humans

@@tobeawesome7130 this happens because the game spawns you at your mission point. My advice: do this glitch in the Tower safehouse of slums. I tracked Harran Prison mission (i have The Following Edition) and the glitch spawned me right outside the room to the stash rather than at the mission. Alternatively, you can choose a mission that is in the tower so you can be close to the stash if you dont have Prison DLC.

I dont know if this works on playstations but at least on xbox all you have to do is join a online game go to a bag make sure you can open it go offline and wait till a message appears once it does press a and start spamming x (idk the playstation buttons) and drop the thing thats in your bag that you wanna dupe and it will drop without being took out your bag

@@RimoCreedeZz Follow this sequence on Xbox (it works on PS consoles, but the way to the network controls varies, so adjust accordingly): For this, I use the safe zone right next to the Bright Mountain Tunnel quarantine zone since I haven't entered it yet, so loading back in will send me to the entrance) SOLO METHOD 1 - Pick a quest as close to a safe zone with a stash (hover over the stash) -- [When you reload, you'll do so at the start of that quest] 2 - Pause the game and choose Matchmaking, then pick Quick Join (They will always be on the same difficulty level settings you have) 3 - Press A until the screen starts to go black (Once if the game is in your zone, or twice if you're being teleported to the other map) 4 - Immediately press the XBox button and move over to your Profile icon on the far right 5 - Go to Settings, then General, and then Network Settings 6 - Select "Go Offline", and when it pops up, choose "Go Online" 7 - Press the Xbox button and scroll down to Dying Light 8 - When the pop-up stating that you're playing alone, press A to advance, and then quickly tap X to open the bag before the screen goes black (I do it three times, just in case) CO-OP METHOD 1 - Join a friend's game (you cannot be the creator and you must both be on the same difficulty level setting from the main menu, otherwise it boots you back to the Main Menu) [When you reload from the kick, you should be in the same spot, and when you rejoin them, you'll do so near where they are] 2 - Have your friend kick you (Pause, move to the right and find your name, select, and then choose to kick you) 3 - The game will tell you that you've been kicked; press A. When the pop-up stating that you're playing alone, press A to advance, and then quickly tap X to open the bag before the screen goes black (I do it three times, just in case) As stated from others, use the directional pad instead of the analog stick. So, to get into the flow, I use the directional pad from the start of this until I drop my dupe. With this duping method, you cannot dupe more than one stack in Storage (the game will crash). If you place a few weapons in your inventory, and provided the game doesn't randomly crash, you can drop a weapon and then press down to do it again, then back up to another. I think the most I've done without crashing within the last couple days is about 12. Hopefully this clears up every step that's necessary to perform these.

My friend was doing this today: remove everything from your inventory and put it in your stash. Then pull two or three things you want to dupe into your inventory. Provided the game doesn't crash, you'll be able to dupe multiples of said stacks and hasten the process.

The Dying light glitches have been patched today ( may 5th 2022 ) by implementing the need for choosing an save game when you try to join other multiplayer sessions. I'll try to find a workaround, but my hopes are very low to be brutally honest. Very smart move of the game devs. I'll keep you guys updated✌🏽 Meanwhile, if you need anything, just let me know. Weapons are off limits, because i only sell those with weapon packs. @@greekpinguu at least, for me, it doesn't work since i have multiple save games. It takes me to the main menu to choose an save game every single time when i try to join somebody. So maybe, there is an alternative way, by only having 1 save game or something? Thats true bro. My storage is so slow, that I'm able to drop more than 3 every time. The footage that you see in this video is not slowed down. That's actually how slow my storage was. Hi bro, first, I'm wondering on what console you are playing. Its still not confirmed if this glitch works fine on a PS5 but if you are on a PS4 then it should work perfectly fine. I have a small hunch for what's happening with you. Maybe, at the end, when you dropped the item from the storage side ( right side ), then the only thing you should press is circle to back out. If you press any other button, it will crash.

Alright i have a idea (: let me write a custom explaination, maybe this works great for u too since it helped some other dude too when i did this for him. 1: make sure you have the network checkbox double-tap action already prepaired, for later on during the glitch. 2: join a quick match. 3: wait for the warning to pop up, and accept it. Then when you are getting the black loading screen, double tap ps button to quickly turn off and on the network, and then double tap ps button to get back to the game. 4: you will get 2 warnings in total. Most of the times the pause menu comes as well. When the pause menu comes, you have to eventually press X 3 times. 1 time for accepting the warning. The 2nd time for pressing "resume" in the pause menu in order to close the pause menu. And a 3th time for accepting the 2nd warning. Get ready to press square after the 3rd time you have to press x, to open the storage and start up the glitch. 5: once you have accepted the 2nd warning, inmedetly start pressing "Square" to open your storage. Pressing square 2 or 3 times should be enough. 6: start pressing R3 + triangle( to drop stuff from your backpack) quickly non stop during the black screen. But keep in mind to stop dropping items when your screen is almost completely black (: 7: then let it load, and you come back after the black screen into your storage ( your cursor will be on the left side of the 2 lists). At this point, it's very very important to ONLY PRESS right D-pad. If you press ANYTHING else besides right D-pad, you will crash 💯% out of all the times. 8: once you are on your right side of the 2 lists ( storage section ). You scroll down to look for a item you want to drop. I suggest you to put a 99 stack of Medkits in it for example. Then you scroll down to the med kits, and press R3 & then triangle to accept dropping the whole stack. 9: from here, ALWAYS back out by pressing circle. If you press anything else besides circle after you dropped something, you're fuckd. That's it bro. This should help (: good luck and let me know "

My suspicion is that you keep pressing R3 and triangle when the black screen is completely black, you should stop pressing anything when there is only a little spot of the black screen isn't black yet. That's a indication to stop ✌🏽

The thing is that you should choose a quest in your quest tab, that is located in the same city as your recent save game. Also, make sure you do the network trick very quickly to avoid to get your quest target changing to the quest that the person has active that you are joining. What i always do, is putting on the quest:" bandages and meds " which is located in the tower✌🏽 that always helps me (: hope this works for u too 😁

By the way, if your controller has stick drift to the left on any of your analog sticks, you will crash every single time.you aren't allowed to press left during this glitch. This is the only thing i can think of that is going wrong on your end since i never heard of people having cashes instantly during dropping

Maybe, it's also worth trying this :" 1: shut down your PS4 completely ( so not rest mode ) 2: after the PS4 is turned off, wait for 10 seconds 3: hold the power button for like 7 to 10 seconds until you hear the second beep 4: then, your PS4 will be in a state of "safe mode ". 5: then search for the option " rebuild database " & let it do its thing. 6: the Ps4 will start up and then try the game. It solves corrupted data and most of the time fixes things. And if that doesn't work? Then i suggest you to try the following dlc and check if it works over there (: let me know bro 💪🏽 good luck

Hey man, no, the only thing what is important to keep in mind, is:" After the black screen, you ALWAYS have to press right D-pad first so you land in the right list ( storage list ). From there, you can just use D-pad up and down as much as you want, just make sure you don't press it to the left, because that's gonna crash your game. Also, make sure you don't drop more than 1 item after the black screen because that also will crash ur game. So after the black screen, just drop 1 more item and then make sure you ALWAYS Press circle to back out. If you press anything else besides circle after dropping an item after the black screen, you'll crash and u'll be pissed 😂

Backpack(inventory) ✌🏽💯 that's the easiest method. But if you want to duplicate med kits for example, you can stash 1 stack of med kits in the storage, and at the end of the glitch where u have to dorp 1 last item drom the storage side, you can drop it

Damn bro that is something new that i never heard from. Have you tried restarting your PS4? ( So not rest mode, but fully restart it ). Mostly that takes care of any glitched corrupted data 💪🏽

If you have an network cable in your PS5, you can just unplug it instead of doing the double tap network trick as shown in the video ✌🏽

Hey bro, don't worry, i got you 😊 I'll explain you exactly what you have to do. This glitch has been partially patched. The new update has forced people to be sent back to the main menu if you have more than 1 save game per DLC. Luckily i found out about this recently and i uploaded a fix video for you guys. So what i would suggest to you is:" go to my channel page and watch my most recent video i uploaded ( it's called dying light duplication glitch fix /workaround). Just do the things i show in the video ( such as deleting an save game ). Once you did that, you have to watch this video again and try again ✌🏽 make sure you keep your network disconnected when you are doing the glitch too💯 If you have any further questions, please just message me on my psn @" RimoCreedeZz "and I'll make sure you'll get this glitch to work. 1000% sure ✌🏽

@@austinbinkley5727 That's great to hear bro ✌🏽 I'm sure you can do it perfectly fine 💯 And here bro, i copy and paste the description of my video, it contains a lot of good tips and other things to keep in mind and it will help with avoiding crashes. Just make a screenshot of this and check it out once in a while when you are doing the glitch. It's gonna help you a lot! Here it is:" 1: make sure you have the network checkbox double-tap action already prepaired, for later on during the glitch. 2: join a quick match. 3: wait for the warning to pop up, and accept it. Then when you are getting the black loading screen, double tap ps button to quickly turn off and on the network, and then double tap ps button to get back to the game. 4: you will get 2 warnings in total. Most of the times the pause menu comes as well. When the pause menu comes, you have to eventually press X 3 times. 1 time for accepting the warning. The 2nd time for pressing "resume" in the pause menu in order to close the pause menu. And a 3th time for accepting the 2nd warning. Get ready to press square after the 3rd time you have to press x, to open the storage and start up the glitch. 5: once you have accepted the 2nd warning, inmedetly start pressing "Square" to open your storage. Pressing square 2 or 3 times should be enough. 6: start pressing R3 + triangle( to drop stuff from your backpack) quickly non stop during the black screen. But keep in mind to stop dropping items when your screen is almost completely black (: 7: then let it load, and you come back after the black screen into your storage ( your cursor will be on the left side of the 2 lists). At this point, it's very very important to ONLY PRESS right D-pad. If you press ANYTHING else besides right D-pad, you will crash 💯% out of all the times. 8: once you are on your right side of the 2 lists ( storage section ). You scroll down to look for a item you want to drop. I suggest you to put a 99 stack of Medkits in it for example. Then you scroll down to the med kits, and press R3 & then triangle to accept dropping the whole stack. 9: from here, ALWAYS back out by pressing circle. If you press anything else besides circle after you dropped something, you're fuckd. " Good luck bro ✌🏽💯

Unfortunately it's impossible. At least, it's not efficiently. There is a way to kinda duplicate it but it's useless since you only can pick up 1 of the stacks of ammo so it's completely useless and it's hard to do too
