Fantastic video. I really learned a lot that my current financial planner didn't have time to inform me on. You were very helpful. I look forward to watching your other videos. Thank you.

Very informative video I have yet to run into a financial planner who wants to educate people. Most appear to want buy you dinner get your numbers plug them into a program take control of your savings and charge you a fee without letting you how is being done. Thanks for putting this information out. Keep it up

A STABLE INCOME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANNUITY FOR RETIREMENT PLANNING. Big ups to everyone working effortlessly trying to earn a living while building wealth. I'm 40 and my wife 34. We are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income.

Impressive achievement! Building a solid financial foundation with passive income is key. How do you balance the need for stability with growth in your retirement income strategy, especially considering annuities or other investment vehicles?

Great video. With current cap rates getting locked in (with some companies) I'd argue you can definitely get closer to traditional market returns (10 plus cap rates guaranteed for 5 year terms with some companies.)

Just say no and fire your advisor. Guy tells me I outperformed his portfolio and wants to know how. Then he offers to give me the privilege of letting him manage my money for 6%. Sure, I'm an idiot.

Very informative. However, a simulated example of how a certain amount would pay, would be very helpful. How would a $250,000 investment produce based on the zebra or S&P, or the like.

Thank you. I would prefer a Fixed annuity with a set rate of 6%. For 5 tears. Is this an option for a large 401k rolover type investment? This percentage of index stuff seems to be a way to hide fees. And offer some complex sketchy protection of loss. I am not even considering a with draw. Thanks for the information.

I really appreciate this information Troy. I have been tempted a couple times to start a FIA with about 30% of my portfolio value, but never pulled the trigger. Question for you: would your company provide help with FIA without full portfolio AUM?

Hi Steve! Thanks for watching and commenting! We will as long as we can understand the what the goals are to ensure what we are recommending fits into a plan that helps to achieve those goals. If you have a plan and investments already that's fine, we would just need that info to make a proper recommendation. When you contact us just ask whomever you speak with to send me an email per my request. I'll talk with the advisor and prepare them for the circumstances and I'll drop in on the meeting to say hello!

It's great to hear you're considering Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIAs) as part of your portfolio strategy! Have you explored how integrating FIAs could potentially enhance your retirement income without committing your entire portfolio?

sales class chapter one tell stories, chapter two. i understand how you feel ,i felt the same way, this is what i found, do fixed index annuities PAY ALL DIVIDENDS THAT ARE IN THE INDEX? What ever%. of a portfolio you think should be in an annuity, Put 50% in a money market and 50% WHERE THEY ARE PUTING THE MONEY, IN AN INDEX MUTUAL FOUND, SEEMS LIKE MAKES MORE SENSE LESS COMMISSION, LESS FEES, MORE DIVIDENDS, LESS INSURANCE COSTS, if you are really afraid of losing money dont give it an insurance product

A CFP pushing annuities. You forgot to more accurately emphasize the high fees and penalties for withdrawals. People…there is NO free lunch. Do you really think you’re getting 7%? You get your own money back & interest. It would’ve sucked to have been in annuity and to have missed the bull market.

Hi Patrick. It's probably pretty safe to assume you didn't watch the whole video since I discussed surrender charges, liquidity, fees and commissions. Not all annuities have annual fees as you insinuate, many have no annual fees. As mentioned in the video, and will be mentioned many more times in this series, annuities are not a replacement for stocks. They are a potential replacement for the low risk assets in a portfolio like bonds and CDs. With that said, many fixed indexed annuity owners earned 20%-30%+ coming out of the pandemic with no risk to principal. Those gains have been locked in and they haven't lost a dime of principal or interest in this current 20%-30% + stock market correction. That type of performance with safety is why FIAs can be an attractive option for some. I'd like to also state that during the early stages of the pandemic and ensuing market crash, no owner of an FIA was ever concerned about losing money because they are guaranteed against market loss. This is an introductory video in a long series designed to educate, not push annuities. This series will benefit those that want to learn. Many people already have their minds made up and aren't open to learning. That's their right and I'm fine with that. But many people do want to learn and are considering purchasing an annuity for either safe growth or lifetime income. Therefore, the goal of this series is to be honest, transparent and educational to help families in that boat be more informed. Over $250 billion of annuities were purchased last year and if we can help people understand these tools more clearly, they will be likely to make better buying decisions. Annuities, in general, are highly reputable retirement planning tools if used correctly. They can provide certain benefits no other financial tool can. It doesn't mean they are all good, but the academic research is clear. FIAs can be a very valuable retirement planning tool if used appropriately in a plan. I do appreciate your comment, but I want the facts to be clearly understood by all. Broad-based comments and opinions lumping all annuities into categorical assumptions like "High Fees" and "Low Growth" isn't necessarily accurate across the spectrum of annuity products available.

Run away, run away. awful product. Only good for the sales rep and the insurance company. Explain the 300-page contract details... These products are sold at the "free steak dinners". Participation rate, cap rate, surrender charges, not liquid, returns lower than bonds and the stock market........

Hey there @a-borgia4993, we actually just recently did a video that touched on each of the concerns that you have - no one product is right for everyone, but we do believe that when weighed against each individual situation and if done right, fixed index annuities can be a powerful tool. Check out that video and decide for yourslef here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioGmcp-jd8yehLs
