+Thomas Wheeler Ensure you did not damage the LCD flex cable. We recommend going through all the connections to ensure they are secure.

Awesome tutorial. Great explanation and closeup views that made it easy to fix. I put clear mailing tape on the screen so the glass pieces don't separate, glass fly in my eye or cut my finger. I would suggest to use wear protective glasses just in case. I also used my swiss army knife as the blade was easier to separate the glass and then I used the plastic picks to keep it separated. This was easier to replace than the replacement screen for my iPhone 6.

Great video, concise and informative. But I did wonder how or if you scraped off the old glue

While i was trying the change screen glass lcd turned to dark black. İ can see the apps so hardly! I can see, it's working but everything is too dark! Do you have any suggest?
@Fixez8 жыл бұрын
Try holding the power and home buttons to reboot. If not it's possible that either the lcd or circuit that controls the backlight were damaged during the repair.

The charge of the device is finished and now when i connect to the cable i can clearly see the battery icon. Do you think it's fixed? I think i damaged the power buton also :( The power button is not working. Which cable should i change?

I tried this, but when I powered it back on, the touch screen did not work. Also, the power button did not power off the unit. I am planning to replace the power and WiFi parts, is there anything else I need to be looking at? Any idea as to why the touch wouldn't work?

You didn't reconnect the wifi at almost or show how to do so.
@mattwarnervideo10 жыл бұрын
This video is highly misleading! The screen DOES NOT come off that easily. No matter how much you heat it. Just tried this at home to replace the charging dock. Barely pried up one corner before it completely shattered the glass. I bought the charging dock and all the tools in this video thinking it would be relatively simple like this video and it was not. Don't be misled.
@cingco784010 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say the video was misleading, however, the part where you had to remove the home button and the camera plate was left out. ***** please consider these small steps in your future videos. Matthew Warner try using the heat gun and the spudger at the same time.

well done video....just this kinda homosexual voice ist bit annoying, but nicely done

wtf is this comment
@lilys.52684 жыл бұрын
Rude. As if critiquing a person on their voice is something they can even change. I honestly don't understand why that comment was necessary, except for just another opportunity to spew hateful rhetoric. Maybe next time you could keep your homophobic comments to yourself. Even the small children I work with know "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" or how I like to put it "If you're thinking about saying something nasty, just keep you're f$&king mouth shut". A good rule of thumb is to pause for a second before you take the time to say (or in this case type) something insulting, and ask yourself how you would feel if someone said the same thing to you. My 5 year old students have been able to learn this simple skill, so there really isn't any excuse that a grown ass person couldn't do the same.
@lilys.52684 жыл бұрын
Also, I happen to think the gentlemen in the video had a very nice voice, and was eloquently spoken. So not everyone has that same opinion.
