Try to restart or rest ur device and do it again, if it still doesnt work than ur phone security is updated and u will need new method..

Every time i try to open youtube it says youtube needs to update it will take about a min i can not get around it. I click update and it takes me to the google account verification page! How do i fix this??

The place where I pressed to open chrome browser at 1:44 timeline.. do not press there so in ur case press on that KZbin logo icon in the center and than try to press on 3... dots, press share, or press and hold on long text that you will see after u clicked on KZbin icon and than share, email, etc, try that way if you can bypass.

When I click on the youtube video to maximize it and bring up chrome, it brings up an 'update' KZbin page and doesn't give me the option to skip it, and I can't update it because it's locked obviously. Not sure what to do

Did u turn on the TalkBack assistant? If so than restart the device and as soon it goes to the main screen , Swipe with two fingers from top to buttom, than u will see the top notification area. There should be screen capture icon.

You may have different android version, or u may need to hard reset the phone and try again once u hard reset it..
