Thank you for this video. In the last hour I pulled a 200E starter that was seized. The brushes looked new but there was bad rust in the body of the starter.

@@HarveySpooner hey Harvey just picked up a 1982 200e Big Red for free the plastics are all intacted but light on compression so I pulled the engine out and gonna slap some rings in it but It doesn't seem to be getting oil to the cam? Thoughts on this issue?

Hey Mick! I did not have too much luck fixing starter until recently, This version of starter is not easily available, so, chucking it in the bin means a hole in the machine! Thanks for Ur thoughts, encouragement, watching, and commenting!!!!

Low battery, moisture, and excessive cranking (overheating), are what usually kills a starter over time.

Harvey I have been watching for a good while. But I have a question. I have a Honda recon es that won’t shift and I hooked up a 12v battery to the shift motor and nothing happened and when I hook it up to the multimeter there’s no continuity. And the dash is flashing a 3 fault code please help
